    Dream come true

This private boat was an absolute dream and a true highlight of our stay in Paris. Ettore was so welcoming and made sure that we were all comfortable and taken care of. His knowledge of the city is next level and he made it entertaining for our toddlers as well. He was funny and accommodated any requests we had, especially when we wanted to get “the picture” of the Eiffel Tower. I would highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thanks you so much !!

Raindrops Kept Falling on our Heads

We would give it 4 stars because Philippe was great but the weather was awful. It was windy, rainy and cold. It was a pretty expensive adventure so I had reached out in advance asking if the sunset tour would be canceled if the weather didn’t cooperate and was just told I could cancel up to 24 hours in advance. So then I asked if that meant the boat was covered because I’d hate to cancel if the weather was dry. I never got an answer and it was too late to cancel. When we got to the dock we were sure the tour would be canceled as there was no coverage of the boat. Poor Philippe was drying off the seats and it just kept raining. There were 4 of us and just 2 light acrylic blankets that got soaked. We held umbrellas but the wind and cold was just too uncomfortable so we got off the boat early. I’d say either book this tour last minute or make sure you have winter coats and hats - we had rain gear and gloves but it just wasn’t enough. We were very disappointed and wished if the tour operators weren’t going to cancel the tour, they should have at least been prepared with waterproof blankets and some sort of coverage.

Response from the operator: Really sorry about this outing. It rained early in the afternoon, and the weather was forecast to be better during the cruise.... It wasn't. We recommended dressing appropriately for the weather and predicted it would be cold. The rain surprised us, which wasn't cool. Sorry about that. Ettore

Beautiful way to see the Seine!

Our captain was super helpful and kind. Lovely way to see the Seine with a picnic. Amazing shots of the Eiffel Tower. We were lucky as no rain. Might be different if it rained as there was no cover, highly recommend taking a platter and champers. It was perfect for our family having the private time.

Response from the operator: Thanks for Philippe ! Even when it rains, Paris is beautiful ! Thanks a lot !

Not cheap but quality is worth paying for.

It's very easy to take a cheap tour of the River Seine, on one of the larger boats with hundreds of other tourists - but this is class! Expensive - but provided there are 4 or 5 of you the cost becomes reasonable per person. Specifically we paid about £400 for four of us to have a 2 hr 10 min tour as shown in the illustration. It was our one "treat" of the holiday - so we thought it was worthwhile. They go much further along the Seine than the bigger boats. Philippe (our captain) was really friendly, chatty if we wanted to chat, and pointed out all the main sights. He was also great at taking a few photos of us on board! We were blessed with superb weather - but the boat doesn't have a great deal of cover so if it is rainy you are likely to get wet! The number of people allowed depends on the type of tour you are doing. Max for us was 5, but they are licensed for up to 9. Highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Your enjoyment is our priority. Whether there are 2, 5, or 9 of you, we'll always look for the good times and the good memories. Thank you very much.

    Phillipe was punctual,...

Phillipe was punctual, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the city. Provided a wonderful ride on the Seine and was able to time going past Eiffel Tower to time it lit up and sparked at after sunset.

Response from the operator: Thank you for Philippe. We're here for your enjoyment. Paris is magnificent at night when the Eiffel Tower sparkles!

Private Boat Trip in Paris: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.

How much does Private Boat Trip in Paris cost?

    +

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Boat Trip in Paris take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.

Is Private Boat Trip in Paris worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Boat Trip in Paris?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Boat Trip in Paris suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Boat Trip in Paris?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Boat Trip in Paris start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Paris?

    +

Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

    +

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
