Outstanding trip with amazing guide
This was a real ‘splurge’ purchase as we wouldn’t normally be so extravagant for a day trip; however, it was definitely worth it. Charlie, our guide, was incredible. He was so knowledgeable and interesting and it was great to experience his passion and obvious love of the area. He took us to all the best spots, and it was so relaxed, like going out for the day with an old friend. One of our party has a disability which affects her mobility and he tailored the tour to her needs, whilst ensuring we saw so much. Lunch at a little cafe in the mountains was perfect and the whole day was just wonderful. We would never have seen anything like the amount of sights we saw if we’d tried to do it ourselves, and a group tour wouldn’t have allowed the flexibility that this did. Thanks so much Charlie!

Fantastic Blue Mountains Day Trip
This was the best luxury excursion we've ever done. The activities were customized to meet our needs. For example, we wanted to hike at Wentworth Falls, but I'm afraid of heights. So our guide Alex suggested a compromise which worked out perfectly. The views were stunning. The lunch was terrific. Even wandering through the local towns was relaxing and informative. What made this so good was the easy rapport with Alex. She was informative but also in tune with our needs, providing water and breaks and toilet stops as needed. We were not pressured to keep a schedule and the scenery was off the hook. We felt like VIP's from beginning to end. We recommend Alex and Your Sydney Guide without reservation.

A Must-Do Sydney Experience – Scenic, Personal & Fun
We had a fantastic day with Scott on our private tour. What truly stood out was how he personalized the experience around my physical limitations while still allowing my kids to enjoy some hiking and adventure. It was the perfect balance — I was able to participate in everything, and my kids got to explore more where possible. Scott was pleasant, incredibly knowledgeable, and wonderful to spend the day with. We loved visiting Featherdale, getting up close with the animals, and finishing with a relaxing wine tasting. Highly recommend — especially for families looking for a thoughtful, customized experience!

Incredible Blue Mountain and Winery with Sam
We had the most incredible day with Sam as our private tour guide. She took us to Featherdale Animal Sanctuary, the Blue Mountains, the Three Sisters, and finished with a wine tasting at Megalong Valley Vineyard—every stop was perfectly timed and thoughtfully planned. Sam is a true wealth of knowledge about Australia, its wildlife, history, and culture, and she shared it all in such an engaging, easy way. Beyond that, she’s warm, personable, and a natural at what she does. We bonded instantly and felt like we were exploring with a friend rather than a guide. The day was seamless, relaxed, and genuinely memorable. If you’re considering a private tour, Sam is outstanding—I couldn’t recommend her more highly. Thanks, Wayne and Mary
Response from the operator: Thanks so much to you both for taking the time to write up a review and for such a glowing summary of your day with Sam. She is a gem and I'm glad the day in the Blue Mountains was just what you were looking for. Safe travels, Scott and the team.

Wonderful day exploring the Blue Mountains
We had the most wonderful day taking some time out of the city and exploring the Blue Mountains. Our guide Sam was brilliant - knowledgable, friendly, fun and made the most of our day by designing the schedule so that we avoided other tourists as much as possible (At some places we barely saw another person which was fantastic!) We started at Featherdale Wildlife Park, then on to Wentworth Falls, lunch in Megalong Valley, followed by a winery visit, more stunning Blue Mountains views and finished with a quick stop at the Three Sisters. It was a long day but went in a flash and being able to stop for lunch and coffee was essential (can't believe that some all day trips don't include a lunch stop!). Would thoroughly recommend
Response from the operator: Thank you Joey..yep Sam is an awesome tour guide and so glad you all enjoyed the day so much. You take amazing photos too and would like to share them on our social media if that's okay. Safe travels, Scott & team.

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Blue Mountains and Winery Day-Trip from Sydney: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.
How much does Private Blue Mountains and Winery Day-Trip from Sydney cost?
+
Prices start at $1595 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Blue Mountains and Winery Day-Trip from Sydney take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.
Is Private Blue Mountains and Winery Day-Trip from Sydney worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Blue Mountains and Winery Day-Trip from Sydney?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Blue Mountains and Winery Day-Trip from Sydney suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Blue Mountains and Winery Day-Trip from Sydney?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Blue Mountains and Winery Day-Trip from Sydney start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sydney?
+
On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sydney?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sydney?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
