Enter the great temple in darkness from the little-visited eastern side, and creep along hoary cloistered corridors past the longest stretch of bas-relief carvings in the world.

  2. Bayon Temple

Angkor Thom is the majestic site once served as the Khmer Empire's glistening capital city. Take a moment to consider its grandiosity before venturing inside the city. Arriving at the temple at Bayon, appreciate its beautifully crafted central towers covered in more than 200 enormous faces.

  3. Ta Prohm Temple

One of the most atmospheric of all temples in Angkor. Once home to 2,740 monks, Ta Prohm today looks much as it did in the early 1850s, when French explorer Henri Mouhot ‘rediscovered’ this crumbling site. After exploring the maze-like interior of Ta Prohm, return to your hotel after a long but fulfilling day, which will leave you with a lifetime of memories of one of the wonders of the world.

Qell managed experience of Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, and Bayon/Amgkor Thom, in 6 hours.

Punctual, courteous and entertaining guide, who kept us on time and focused, apart from giving context and sharing the historical narrative. Driver was also very courteous, polite and kind, and the car was spotlessly clean and fresh. Thr only thing I can think of as 'could be better' was perhaps to choose a better spot for breakfast , as his chosen place outsode Angkor War was rather basic.

Best Guide in Cambodia

Pick up was easy and on time. Short drive to Angkor Wat where you are dropped at the point where everyone walks in. 14650 steps before 11.30am, need to be physically able if you want to climb in and out in the temples. Borey was the ultimate guide - best we’ve had in our Thailand / Cambodia trip. He is so knowledgeable, so many stories and so much information presented in an entertaining way. He is so well educated on his topic and able to answer and discuss every question we had. After 2 hours, a short trip in the air con van to the Tomb Raider temple. By the last temple it was very warm and we went through 3/4 bottles of water each. Saw people in slides, but would recommend good walking shoes. Borey is an expert photographer and took many family photos for our family of five - plus a few entertaining photo tricks up his sleeve. He made this experience so meaningful and it was fascinating to learn about the history and Hinduism/Buddhism beliefs. Definitely book him if you can.

Fantastic tour with the amazing Seila

This tour was fantastic and we couldn’t recommend it enough. Our tour guide Seila was amazing - he was so friendly, helpful and had an incredible knowledge about Angkor Wat and also Cambodia more generally. His English was perfect and he explained everything very clearly. He was also very happy to tailor the tour to what we wanted and offered to show us additional temples or take us to other sites on the way back to Siem Reap. We can’t thank him enough! Our driver Nol was also great - always on time and waiting for us with cold bottles of water and the air conditioning on in the car.

Private Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does Private Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is Private Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
