He planned our route well based on what we wanted to see and was flexible on the day. Credits also to his great photography skills - he made sure we got the best family shots! The Perfect Angkor Experience with an Incredible Guide

As someone who is a museum CEO who teaches adjunct history, I can say that Sarak made this tour an absolute 10/10. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism and fun, making the entire experience feel both seamless and memorable. As a solo traveler who’s usually more comfortable behind the camera, I especially appreciated having someone who not only offered to take photos but turned out to be a fantastic photographer. His knowledge of both Hinduism and Buddhism added so much depth to the temples—it wasn’t just sightseeing, it was truly understanding what we were seeing. He also chose an excellent spot for breakfast, which was a perfect start to the day and a great way to experience local flavors. And the small touches didn’t go unnoticed—cold towels infused with eucalyptus oil during the hottest part of the day were a lifesaver. If you’re visiting Angkor, do yourself a favor and book with Sarak. You’ll leave with great memories, great photos, and a much richer understanding of the history.

Response from the operator: Dear Doug, Thank you so much for your incredible review and for your generous recommendation1 It was truly an honor guide someone your background in museums and history. Your kind words mean a great deal to me, especially your appreciation of the historical and cultural explanations. I always stive to help my guests understand not only the beauty of Angkor, but also the stories, symbolism, and spiritual significance behind each temple. I'm also delighted that you enjoy the breakfast, the small touches like the cold towels and the photos we captured together. It makes me very happy to know that I could help you create lasting memories of your visit. Thank you again for choosing me as your guide. It was a genuine pleasure meeting you, and I hope to welcome you back to Cambodia one day for more unforgettable adventures. Warm regards, Sarak Angkor Guide Sarak

Wonderful informative day with Sarak

We had a wonderful day with Sarak starting with a beautiful sunrise over Angkor Wot and an explore around the temple itselt. Moving on to the most amazing breaktast, then a bike ride through the jungle to Angkor Thom. Next we cycled to Bayon temple, and on to a lovely lunch followed by a trip to the floating river. Sarak was extremely knowledgable, sharing the history of each temple and Cambodia itself. We were so well looked after by Sarak and his lovely driver. Continuous cold water and cold face towels. The day was made even more special by his incredible photographic skills throughout the day, which he shared with us, and meant we could relax and take in the scenery. Thank you for the best day and sharing your passion and knowledge of your beautiful country

Private Angkor Temples Tour with Sunrise: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does Private Angkor Temples Tour with Sunrise cost?

+

Prices start at $128 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Angkor Temples Tour with Sunrise take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is Private Angkor Temples Tour with Sunrise worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 51 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Angkor Temples Tour with Sunrise?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Angkor Temples Tour with Sunrise suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Angkor Temples Tour with Sunrise?

+

Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Angkor Temples Tour with Sunrise start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
