What you'll see and do
Granada
Private tour of the beautiful Alhambra palace with private English-speaking official guide to give you a wonderful insight of the history and culture of this spectacular place. / / We will visit the Alhambra palace and its courtyards which were built for the last Moorish Emirs in Spain, for the ruling Nasrid dynasty. After the Cristian reconquest by the Catholic Monarchs, Isabella and Ferdinand in 1492, some sections of the Alhambra palace were used by the Christian Monarchy. Their Grandson Charles V, who was the Holy Roman Emperor in 1527, ruling much of Europe, built a palace that was inserted inside the Alhambra and within the old fortifications of the Nazarid Palaces. Then afterwards for centuries, the Alhambra was allowed to fall into disrepair as well as being badly destroyed by Napoleon troops. The Alhambra was rediscovered in the19th century by European and American scholars and travellers, especially Washington Irving.

FIrst Rate experience
VIP Malaga Tours is a first rate travel service that I highly recommend. Everything from the planning with Mark to the van driver Pepe to the Alhambra guide Simon was excellent. The van is a little crowded for 8 people but the tour and the service more that made up for the discomfort. You will not be disappointed.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words.

Excellent service and wonderful tours!
My group of 7 enjoyed two fabulous tours with VIP Malaga Tours! These were over two years in the making as covid stood in the way. We were originally going to take the Tangiers day trip, but due to high winds, ferry service was canceled. As disappointed as we were, Mark was quick to offer other wonderful suggestions and we opted for Gibraltar! It was a fabulous tour and we enjoyed an exciting, flawless day! Mustapha was our local guide and he was so much fun to be with! Our second trip was to Grenada/Alhambra with Jonathan as our driver and Edo as our local guide. I can't say enough about the entire day! Great! Excellent service from start to finish; Mark is an excellent communicator and I would HIGHLY recommend!
Response from the operator: Hi, Nice to hear that you enjoyed your day with Edu and Jonathan and I will pass your kind words onto them. Thanks

Why this scores 43
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Alhambra palace tour including private guide and tickets: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Granada.
How much does Private Alhambra palace tour including private guide and tickets cost?
+
Prices start at $139 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Granada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Alhambra palace tour including private guide and tickets take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Granada is not rushed.
Is Private Alhambra palace tour including private guide and tickets worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 43 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Granada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Alhambra palace tour including private guide and tickets?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Private Alhambra palace tour including private guide and tickets suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Alhambra palace tour including private guide and tickets?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Granada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Granada and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Alhambra palace tour including private guide and tickets start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Granada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Granada?
+
On Outty we rank every Granada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Granada: Sierra Nevada Safari tour up to 2500 meters high, Granada Tapas and Wine Small Group Tour, Granada: Albaicin and Sacromonte Segway Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Granada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Granada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
