Excellent Driver

Our chauffeur Jamal was very friendly, welcoming and service minded. He spoke an excellent English, drove very pleasantly and fulfilled all our wishes. He arrived on time and told a lot about the country’s culture and challenges. We give our best recommendations from here

Fantastic tour of Marocco

We visited Casablanca, Rabat, Meknes, Fez and Marrakesh and can only recommend it. It’s a great way to experience the different cultures of the country. We had a guide in every city, that told us about the history and showed us the city. You’ll get to experience a Riad (as at hotel) and also have time on your own, to do and se what you want. We had a great chauffeur named Said. He was easy to talk to, always thinking to steps ahead of us and a great guide in every city, if we needed anything like restaurant and tour recommendations. We have no complaints, the tour with him was perfect.

Everything Morocco

We had a driver guided tour of Morocco. Youness was safe and knowledgeable and we stayed in numerous Riads and saw all the sights of Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, Todra Gorge, Sahara Desert, camel ride and overnight in a luxury Desert Camp, Ait Ben Haddou, Imlil and back to Marrakech for a guided tour and a cookery class at Amol. Our driver Youness and various guides made the trip special. We stayed in Riads and were really well received, great accommodations and super food. All of them a was organised by Earthdogtravel.com from the UK using Morocco businesses and Berber peoples to give true authenticity to our experiences. Our 10 day trip was a marvel of differing physical geography landscapes from flatlands, to desert to the Atlas Mountains and gorges. We enjoyed every minute and it was a good job we had local guides for the medinas in Marrakech and Fes - we might be lost in those places without! At every stage Youness was there to pick us up, drop us off, make sure we were comfortable and was always where he said he would be and on time. He was brilliant and to add to that he took us to his parents mountain home where his mother had cooked a couscous chicken tagine which we enjoyed in a Berber home. Great experience. Our trekking guide in Imlil did likewise so we were well and truly experiencing Morocco and its friendly welcoming vibe.

Fantastic experience on a 12 day custom, private tour with Toubkal Guides.

We did a custom, private 12 day tour of Morocco with Toubkal Guides. The planning and communications before the tour were very prompt and complete (thanks Amina). The tour itself was well thought out. Interesting stops and activities. Good accommodations (all with breakfast, some with dinner) and spacious, modern vehicle. It was fabulous to have the flexibility and comfort of our own private tour. Our driver/guide, Youness, was fantastic. Very charming, kind, attentive and professional. He was full of good suggestions and took great care of us. He was incredibly obliging. In large cities, his services were supplemented by local guides (Miriam in Fes was especially good). Highly recommend Toubkal Guides services for a memorable and well organised Moroccan holiday. Choukran.

Great personal tour of Morocco

This is my first review for Tripadvisor because it is the first time I was so delighted with every aspect of the services provided by Toubkal Guide. We had the vacation of a lifetime in Morocco and Toubkal Guide was a big part of making that happen. A little background on me and my family. We have traveled much of the world and always done the planning and logistics on our own. My view of travel consultants is they were more interested in their self-interest than mine. I still feel somewhat like that but Toubkal Guide was a complete exception to that impression. This trip included my wife, our grown son and his finance. Our trip was for 10 days and by design we had only booked our initial stay in Marrakech at a Riad Kheirredine. I had done some research as to ‘top sites in Morocco’ but had no reservations beyond 2 nights in Marrakech. In my preliminary research I had gotten some initial cost for desert camps, typical drivers for portions of the trip and some broad cost for guides, hotels, etc. In my research I had seen a number of blogs that stated the costs given in Morocco to local’s vs those given over to non-Morocco residence were vastly different, so I decided to delay making commitments until I was in country. This proved to be a very wise decision. While at our Marrakech riad I ask for a recommendation for a travel consultant and without question was told Toubkal Guide was the best. How right they were. In a quick series of emails and phone calls I was able to give my high-level desires in terms of sites, experiences and preference for types of hotels. I knew right away that this would be a good experience because Toubkal Guide was a great balance between trying to meet all our expectations and providing more realistic expectations based on their local knowledge. For example, we had suggested one leg of our travel would be 10 hours based on goggle maps. Toubkal Guide gently suggested this was fantasy and if we tried to do this in one day we might all kill ourselves. We broke this into two days based on Toubkal Guide experience and realized how right they were. We all still liked each other after the two days, and I doubt this would have been the case in one day. Within a few hours I was given a preliminary itinerary which I made some suggestions and a quick turn around for a final itinerary with total cost. I was astounded. The accommodations include were 5 star, the transportation options excellent, include were almost all cost for meals, tours, etc. The total price was less than the cost I had collected for a few random things that accounted for maybe 25% of the proposed itinerary. Like any service company, at the end of the day it is all about the person that delivers the service rather than the company alone. In our case Toubkal Guide recommended Abdulla as our driver and guide for the entire trip and we could not have had a more perfect driver. I need a thesaurus for all his attributes: skilled, knowledgeable, flexible, insightful, kind, protective, helpful in negotiations, willing to fade into the background when needed, willing to change based on our whims, willing to advise us when we were making mistakes, etc. etc. Morocco is a big country and our itinerary called for some long rides. Surprising we were all glad to get in the car every morning to spend more time with Abdulla. In closing my advice is that no matter how experienced a traveler you are you need a partner to get the most out of Morocco. Definitely call Toubkal Guide and hope that Abdulla is available. Then sit back and enjoy one of the most fascinating countries in the world.

Private 8 Day Imperial Cities of Morocco with Accommodation: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does Private 8 Day Imperial Cities of Morocco with Accommodation cost?

+

Prices start at $950 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private 8 Day Imperial Cities of Morocco with Accommodation take?

+

Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is Private 8 Day Imperial Cities of Morocco with Accommodation worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private 8 Day Imperial Cities of Morocco with Accommodation?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private 8 Day Imperial Cities of Morocco with Accommodation suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 192-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private 8 Day Imperial Cities of Morocco with Accommodation?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private 8 Day Imperial Cities of Morocco with Accommodation start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
