The tour is designed to fully immerse visitors in the history and mythology surrounding Dracula, and to provide an experience that is both eerie and informative. It's great that the tour includes a mix of well-known landmarks, such as Bran Castle, as well as lesser-known but equally fascinating locations like the fortified churches of Biertan and Viscri. This offers a comprehensive overview of the history and culture of the region. The fact that meals, transportation, and other amenities are included in the tour package is also a major bonus, as it makes the experience more seamless and stress-free for visitors. Overall, the "Dracula Beyond the Legend" private tour sounds like an exciting and unique way to explore the rich history and mythology of Transylvania.

Totally great experience, a wonderful trip
It was ideal for our vacation for two! An unforgettable trip through beautiful Transylvania. The tour guide (Mimi) was simply fantastic, she has so much knowledge of the country and its history and always has something interesting to say about every sight. The accommodations were very individually chosen, especially the first two days in the small privately run accommodation with the super friendly host Adriana. We felt like we were at her house. On both days we were able to enjoy authentic Romanian fresh food and delicious local wines. On such a long trip there can of course be a problem (small problem with the car), but the team from "Transylvania Discovery Tours" handled the situation professionally and always made us feel safe. After a short break and safety checks with the mechanic on the car, our journey was able to continue after 15-20 minutes. We felt very comfortable with the guide because she always asked if everything was OK, e.g. if the air conditioning was set correctly, if the time spent at the sights was the right length in order to set priorities for the sights. The car was very comfortable and you could take photos from the car, especially in the mountains (Transfagarasan road). All of the hotels were very well chosen (we booked our tour around 5 months in advance), so we recommend booking the tour as early as possible so that "Transylvania Discovery Tours" has enough time to book the nicer/better hotels for you. Conclusion: we were simply thrilled and if you want to find out more about the country of Romania, people, culture, traditions and history, we recommend this tour. Next time we are in Romania, we will book with Transylvania Discovery Tours again! Many thanks to Mimi and we hope you have fun 😊

Eye opening
My tour guide,Bogdan, is very professional . He is most knowledgeable about the country, the sites and their history. I felt very comfortable with him as conversation was easy and he is also a very safe driver. The pick up and drop off were well timed. I enjoyed everything about the tour . I feel for many , including myself, that Romania is an undiscovered jewel. The accommodation was fine - I particularly enjoyed staying in the Pensione in Sebiel- but for a person on their own, I felt the hotels in Braşov and Bucharest were a bit far from the centre.
Response from the operator: Hi there, Thank you very much for taking the time to write this wonderful review! I am glad that you enjoyed the tour in Romania! Best regards, Bogdan Ghenoiu.

Lovely trip through Transylvania
This was a lovely trip through Transylvania during a time of year that there aren't many tourists and the scenery is especially beautiful. Our guides Dan, who was with us the first four days, and Adriana, who was with us the last two, were excellent guides and great companions. We especially loved staying at the pension in Sibiu and having the home cooked meals. My only suggestion for the trip is the Hotel Castle Dracula is far out of the way and there's nothing to see there but the hotel itself. The hotel is not that interesting, is a bit rundown, and very kitschy. We would have rather stayed in another medieval town at another pension than driving an hour and a half just to stay at the hotel. Other than that we loved visiting all the castles and fortifications and learning about the history of Romania! We definitely recommend this trip.
Response from the operator: Hi there, Thank you very much for your kind words! Adriana and Dan are two of our best guides and they will definitely enjoy your feedback as much as I did! I am very glad that you had a great time in Romania and I will take in consideration your opinion about Dracula Castle Hotel. Best regards, Bogdan Ghenoiu.

Beautiful Romania
We were so lucky to have Bogdan as our guide. Everything was arranged so well. Our accommodation was outstanding and the food was so good especially as Bogdan could help us order certain dishes. We got to see the most amazing churches and countryside. Bogdan started as our guide and ended up as our friend. Go to Romania and go with Bogdan!

How much does Private 6-Day Dracula Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest cost?

Prices start at $250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bucharest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private 6-Day Dracula Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest take?

Is Private 6-Day Dracula Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Bucharest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private 6-Day Dracula Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest?
+

Is Private 6-Day Dracula Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private 6-Day Dracula Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bucharest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bucharest and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private 6-Day Dracula Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bucharest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bucharest?
+
On Outty we rank every Bucharest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Real tour of Communism, Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour, Top Gear Road, Small-group max 7 pax with Pick-up, Transfăgărăşan. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bucharest?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bucharest?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
