It exceeded my expectations in terms of enjoyment.

I had heard a lot about the Sahara Desert before, but after seeing it myself, I understood why it is so appreciated. We had a very private tour. No one bothered, I took my time. On the way, the scene of the crossing of the High Atlas, then Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate and Dades Valley - everything is breathtaking. Walking down the Todra Gorge, I felt like I was on another planet. After reaching Merzouga the experience of going to the sand hills on the back of a camel at sunset and staying in the camp at night is really unforgettable. If someone wants to see the Sahara calmly, in his own way, then this tour is very good. It was a memorable trip for us.

Exploring the Real Morocco.

We took a private tour from Marrakesh to Merzouga. The winding roads of the High Atlas mountains, small villages and green valleys seemed to me to be in some other world. When I saw Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, I felt like I was on a movie set!!! The most unforgettable moment was the camel ride at sunset in the Erg Chebbi desert in Merzouga. When the sun goes down, only golden sand and deep silence around - I will never forget that feeling in my life. The experience of staying in the camp again and again at night was also magical. Traditional food, music and sleeping under the starry sky is really amazing.... Our driver was very friendly and knowledgeable, talking about local culture and history along the way. The road was long, but I wasn't tired. Perfect tour for those who want to see the real Sahara!

Sleeping Under the Stars in Merzouga

This is a 3-day private tour from Marrakesh to Merzouga. The winding roads of the High Atlas mountains, the villages and the green valleys seemed to me to be in another world. Ait Benhaddou Kasbah looked like a movie set. The most unforgettable moment was riding a camel at sunset in the sandy desert of Erg Chebi in Merzouga. When the sun goes down, only golden sand and deep silence around - I will never forget that feeling in my life. Repeated camping at night, traditional food, singing and sleeping under the starry sky was truly magical. Our driver was very friendly and knowledgeable, talking about local culture and history throughout the way. The road was long, but I wasn't tired. A perfect trip for those who want to see the real Sahara. I want to go again!

Beautiful 3-Day Journey from Marrakech to Merzouga

The family and I took this private three-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, and to be honest, it will be the highlight of our entire trip to Morocco. It is difficult to describe in words the sight that was seen on the first day leaving Marrakech and passing through the High Atlas Mountains. The winding mountain roads, the small Berber villages, and the lush green valleys - it felt like I was in a completely different world. On the way to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, I felt as if I had stepped on the set of an old movie. But the most unforgettable moment was riding a camel at sunset on the golden dunes of the Erg Chebbi desert in Merzouga. The moment when the sun was slowly disappearing on the horizon, only infinite golden sand and deep silence around - that moment will be remembered for a lifetime. Staying at Berber Camp at night was even more magical. Traditional food, music and complete silence under the starry sky - such a feeling of peace has never been felt before in life. Accommodation was also very comfortable. Our driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. Throughout the journey, he spoke passionately about local culture and history, while also devoting ample time to photography. Even though the road was long, his sincerity never left us feeling tired for a moment. This private tour is the perfect choice for those who want to enjoy the beauty of the real Sahara Desert. I want to go back when I get a chance!

Breathtaking Views, Friendly Guide & Incredible Memories

From Marrakech to the High Atlas Mountains, I was fascinated by the amazing landscapes, passes and small Berber villages. Our driver was very friendly and professional - the whole trip was comfortable. The most magical moment was the camel ride during the sunset at the Erg Chebbi sand dunes in Merzouga. Dinner and listening to music under the night sky from the Berber tent at night - it will never be forgotten. Also, the food was very good. All in all, this was the best part of our trip. It's highly recommended!

Private 3 Days Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does Private 3 Days Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga cost?

+

Prices start at $145 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private 3 Days Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga take?

+

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is Private 3 Days Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 46 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private 3 Days Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private 3 Days Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private 3 Days Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga?

+

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private 3 Days Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
