Angkar One Tours Review with Dara our amazing tour guide
Dara was our guide on a 2 day tour of Siem Reap. The tour included all the amazing Angkar temples, local villages, an ox cart ride, a tour of Kampong Phluk, a cultural dinner and dance and did I mention lots more amazing temples? Dara is an excellent guide. I would recommend him highly to anyone! He is very knowledgeable and passionate about Khmer culture and history. His ability to make history come alive was fantastic. He knows the places to go which less crowded but still amazing. He has a keen sense of humour too which we also really enjoyed. He provided a great mix of history, stories, activities and made our time in Siem Reap very memorable. From our first dealings with Dara he was responsive, organised and professional. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a memorable time in Siem Reap.

The Perfect guide for an outstanding visit
Visiting Angkor Wat and Siam Reap has been a long time dream. When my family offered me this trip for a big birthday gift I couldn’t believe it, but where to start planning?? My daughter who accompanied me lives in Singapore, she asked locally for guide recommendations and this company; Mr. Dara came highly recommended several times. We were not disappointed. In planning our 2 days we had many questions, Mr Dara always answered rapidly. He considered what sites and activities were important to us and the pace we wanted to keep. Very knowledgeable and very patient, our two days touring included important temple locations and lesser known authentic Cambodian places. I have gone home completely mesmerized by the works of the temples and their history. I highly recommend Mr. Dara and his driver Mr. Chad if you want to see the best of Angkor Wat and it’s surroundings.

Great couple of Days with Dara
We had a fabulous time in Cambodia and our guide Dara was excellent. He was very attentive and kind throughout and gave us a lot of very useful information even going out of his way when needed and requested by us. He was very good at booking a number of things for us in Cambodia, even outside the two day tour and he made some excellent suggestions as well. I recommend the store and this guide very much.

Easy communication and very knowledgeable guide!
Dara came highly recommended by friends and we were very happy we took their advice and booked two days with him. Dara was easy to contact via WhatsApp, promptly replied with info, cost and suggested itinerary. We tweaked it to suit our family and it worked beautifully. His vehicle was excellent. Dara is very knowledgeable about the temples, the history of the region and also about modern day Cambodia so we were able to ask various questions and learn a lot from him. I e we hold absolutely recommend you book with Dara.

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private 2-Day Angkor Tour | Explore the Heart of the Khmer Empire: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.
How much does Private 2-Day Angkor Tour | Explore the Heart of the Khmer Empire cost?
+
Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private 2-Day Angkor Tour | Explore the Heart of the Khmer Empire take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.
Is Private 2-Day Angkor Tour | Explore the Heart of the Khmer Empire worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private 2-Day Angkor Tour | Explore the Heart of the Khmer Empire?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 72 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private 2-Day Angkor Tour | Explore the Heart of the Khmer Empire suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Private 2-Day Angkor Tour | Explore the Heart of the Khmer Empire?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private 2-Day Angkor Tour | Explore the Heart of the Khmer Empire start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?
+
On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Siem Reap?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
