Rua Nova do Carvalho is the official name of Lisbon’s Pink Street, and lies in the now popular neighborhood Cais do Sodre. Cais do Sodre used to be Lisbon’s Red-Light District. Alfama

Chafariz D'El Rei
Chafariz de El-Rei – the royal fountain, is the oldest city spring and the first public fountain in Lisbon. It was built in the 13th century using the excellent waters of the Alfama slope. Thanks to King D. Dinis it was expanded, and by the order of King D. João II in 1487, the water flowed to the fountain in pipes to supply drinking water to ships setting off for commercial purposes and on discovery expeditions. In its heyday, Chafariz de El-Rei even had nine working nozzles, each with a different purpose: one for filling all kinds of jugs and barrels, others only for specific social groups (including one for sailors!).

A great way to explore hilly Lisbon!
This activity was great fun. You get time off at each stop to take photos and explore. The guides were friendly and informative. We had our group split across 2 x buggies which was no issue. We all stayed together. Very much worth the money and a great way to explore without climbing hills by foot!

Super great friends activity!
This tour was amazing. Sami made the experience. He was detailed about every place but not boring in the slightest. He gave us great recommendations of places to go while we were here and offered to drop us off anywhere at the end of the tour. We all agreed after the tour that he made us like Lisbon more. Side note for those with safety concerns: We felt super safe in the tuk tuk because of the seatbelts. The seatbelts were super tight, even on the most bumpy streets we barely moved from the cart. So no need to worry about that on this one!

This tour is more focused on drinks than food, because the food we were taken to taste were not good.

A must do experience !
We had the best Tuk Tuk tour with Rifat ! We landed early and we did the tour straight from the airport. It gave us a great overview of the city, so we knew where to go back and visit! Rifat was so knowledgeable and gave us such great history. This tour is a must !!
