About this experience
Discover the stories and legends that are part of Porto’s identity through an immersive and interactive experience at the Furnas da Alfândega. Porto Legends begins with a journey through 10 of the city’s legends in a 360º audiovisual show featuring projections, animation, music and narration by Pedro Abrunhosa in Portuguese and Jeremy Irons in English. After discovering the legends, it’s time to become part of them. Transform yourself into one of the characters from Porto Legends using Artificial Intelligence and take home a video of your transformation. The adventure culminates in a major new experience: a metaverse (LBVR) experience where the line between discovering and living the legends disappears. Enter this universe, explore virtual environments, interact with the space and complete challenges in a mission to help preserve the city’s memory and intangible heritage. More than discovering the legends of Porto, come and live them.

Staff - Maria needs serious help with her customer skills
⭐☆☆☆☆ Extremely disappointing experience due to unprofessional staff conduct I recently visited Porto Legends with my family, including an elderly relative in a wheelchair and a young child in a buggy. While the exhibition itself was well presented and enjoyable, the behaviour of a staff member named Maria João was deeply concerning and detracted from the overall experience. From the outset, her attitude was discourteous and unwelcoming during the ticket check. Later, she addressed my family members in an abrupt and impolite manner while directing them downstairs. Another staff member kindly assisted them with the lift, confirming it was appropriate to use. However, upon arrival, Maria confronted our group, shouting aggressively that we should not have used it. Despite our calm explanation, she continued to raise her voice, snatched tickets from my 10-year-old son, and even pushed another visitor who appeared visibly shocked by her behaviour. She later accused us of not having sufficient tickets, only to be corrected by her colleague that children under five did not require one. No apology or acknowledgement followed. Such behaviour is entirely unacceptable in a customer-facing role. I sincerely hope management addresses this matter promptly through appropriate training and supervision to ensure other visitors do not experience the same treatment.

Interesting to learn about Porto Legends
Fun way to spend an early evening -family of 5 adults - first visit to Porto for 3 of us. It was immersive and interesting to learn more of Porto’s history. Easy to find and interesting to also see the Custom’s building.

Old technology projecting images onto walls
Old technology projectors being used to tell the story of 10 Porto legends. After 3 the novelty had worn off. Grainy images are projected onto the surrounding walls as a voice tells each story. I think it’s probably been there for some time and is in need of an upgrade.

Disappointed!
Amateur effort. Poorly organised. We expected at least reasonable effects, but it’s about as good as my Dad and his slide projections!

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Porto Legends - Immersive & Metaverse Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.
How much does Porto Legends - Immersive & Metaverse Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $13 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Porto Legends - Immersive & Metaverse Experience take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.
Is Porto Legends - Immersive & Metaverse Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 76 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Porto Legends - Immersive & Metaverse Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Porto Legends - Immersive & Metaverse Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Porto Legends - Immersive & Metaverse Experience?
+
Around 27 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Porto Legends - Immersive & Metaverse Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Porto?
+
On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Porto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Porto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
