    Our guide was extremely...

Our guide was extremely attentive and worked hard to make us feel comfortable. He obviously is very experienced. We were picked up on time and also brought back to the airport without delay as agreed in communication beforehand. The tour itself was excellent. We could see many animals and profit from our guide's knowledge of the park and its animals. The park is vast and it is definitely worth seeing the animals in their natural habitat.

    Enjoyable Day Out

The tour was enjoyable from start to finish. Carlin was a wonderful guide and always makes sure you are comfortable and willing to adhere to any request. We saw many animals including 3 of the big 5.

    Unsuitable transport provided.

Wonderful views of elephants, but let down very badly by the vehicle provided. 4 tourists in a family sized car, with extra seating at rear, totally unsuitable for safari, as no-one wanted to sit in the rear, with no opening windows, very frustrating not being able to photograph the animals, which caused friction between the tourists. I would not have gone had I known we were going in a family sized car. Because of the atmosphere caused by the unhappy co-passengers, we were not able to enjoy this day which we had been looking forward to for so long, very disappointed.

Response from the operator: We are glad you got good views on the Elephant. Apologies if you thought the vehicle was not up to stand it is however a 6 seater. We are in the process of finding a supplier to fit open windows at the rear.

Full day at Addo Elephant National park

Had a wonderful time exploring Addo Elephant National Park with my tour guide Ricarrdo from Carlin’s tours. Entering the park through Matyholweni entrance and getting all the way to the main gate to have some lunch at the Cattle Baron restaurant and back to the Matyholweni entrance. Inside the park I had an opportunity to see a lot of Elephants and other animals like the zebras, warthogs, Nyala, Buffalo, ostrich, tortoise etc. Though it was a pity not to have seen lions, the whole experience was really nice and I plan to definitely go back there again with my family.

Awesome Experience especially for Our Daughter

It was great experience. We were picked up on time and the guide was knowledgeable. Our daughter spotted 15 animals and it was awesome. We all learnt a thing or 2 from our guide.

Port Elizabeth Addo Elephant National Park All Inclusive Safari: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Port Elizabeth.

How much does Port Elizabeth Addo Elephant National Park All Inclusive Safari cost?

    +

Prices start at $1999 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Port Elizabeth usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Port Elizabeth Addo Elephant National Park All Inclusive Safari take?

    +

Plan for about 8.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Port Elizabeth is not rushed.

Is Port Elizabeth Addo Elephant National Park All Inclusive Safari worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Port Elizabeth, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Port Elizabeth Addo Elephant National Park All Inclusive Safari?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Port Elizabeth Addo Elephant National Park All Inclusive Safari suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Port Elizabeth Addo Elephant National Park All Inclusive Safari?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Port Elizabeth can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Port Elizabeth and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Port Elizabeth Addo Elephant National Park All Inclusive Safari start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Port Elizabeth within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Port Elizabeth?

    +

On Outty we rank every Port Elizabeth experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale, Dolphin & Penguin Island Cruise, Addo Elephant Full Day Safari with a Traditional South African Braai (BBQ) Lunch, Addo Elephant National Park All Inclusive Full-Day Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Port Elizabeth?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Port Elizabeth?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
