    Easy booking

Did a walk up and was able to get in without a hassle. Instructor was clear with directions. There was a dolphins sighting while in the water.

    Best Rental Company Out There!!!

The whole crew at A1A were so good to work with! They made it easy to set up surprise surf lessons for my son and his friend. They allowed us to rent to boards even after the lesson. They were decently priced, so we were able to go a second day as well. Will definitely rent from them again when we are back!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for choosing A1A outdoor center for your Cocoa Beach surf lessons! We're grateful for your business and super happy you had an enjoyable experience with us. We do everything we can to make sure our customers have fun. Because that's ultimately what we do, we sell good times. Thank you so much for choosing us while visiting the Cocoa Beach and port Canaveral area.

Highly recommend! We had the best experience!

We had THE BEST TIME! Mark was an amazing instructor, very patient and kind. We all learned to surf and spent the afternoon continuing to practice and learn. Would recommend without hesitation. If you’re on the fence about booking, don’t. JUST DO IT! You won’t be sorry and you’ll be thrilled you did it!

    Broken Board and No Refund.

Our instructor was friendly, but he didn't really do much for us. He gave a basic 2 min lesson before we jumped into the water, which was fine I guess. He pushed us onto a couple of waves, but it was kind of felt like we were paying $200 for someone to watch us get beat up by the waves, which obviously comes with learning, but there wasn't much guidance or correcting happening. I felt like I was teaching myself. But when the board strip broke on each board 40 mins into our 120 min lesson, that really ruined the experience... he didn't offer any refund or anything so we just kept using the broken boards. It was a waste of time and energy changing our boards every time we fell off. We were really disappointed. After an hour, I gave my board to the instructor and he just used the last hour riding the waves and getting paid to have fun while I stood and watched on the beach. My husband did okay, but 2 hours was way too long. I wish we were compensated for the broken boards or atleast offered to cut the lesson short for a 50% refund or something. It sucked.

Great way to surf for beginners

Great communication from this vendor. Easy to find. Brian was patient and capable. Surf was pretty big and my granddaughter was relatively inexperienced. Brian ensured her safety and provided a wonderful experience. Highly recommend

Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach Surf Lessons and Board Rental: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Canaveral.

How much does Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach Surf Lessons and Board Rental cost?

    +

Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Canaveral usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach Surf Lessons and Board Rental take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Canaveral is not rushed.

Is Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach Surf Lessons and Board Rental worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Canaveral, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach Surf Lessons and Board Rental?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach Surf Lessons and Board Rental suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach Surf Lessons and Board Rental?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Canaveral can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Canaveral and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach Surf Lessons and Board Rental start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Canaveral within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cape Canaveral?

    +

Cape Canaveral is built around Port Canaveral and the Space Coast: Kennedy Space Center trips, launch viewing boats, cruise transfers, deep-sea fishing and dolphin tours in the Banana River. On Outty we rank every Cape Canaveral experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cocoa Beach Aerial Adventures ticket, Port Canaveral to Orlando Airport MCO and Hotels Private Transfer, Dolphin & Manatee Kayaking Tour in Orlando Area. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Canaveral?

    +

Year-round; book around published launch windows. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Canaveral?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
