If you weigh over 200 lbs, save your money

We booked a package for 3 people that included coaster, zip line, and obstacle course. When the driver picked us up, he mentioned how muscular my husband was but made no mention of weight limitations even though he clearly knew and we did not. He drove us an hour away in such a reckless way another passenger in our carpool got motion sickness. Upon arrival we were immediately guided to step on the scale and the driver then had conversations with other staff. When we asked if everything was ok, he said no and told us to speak to another person. They said almost everything had a weight limit and there were only 3 options we could do: the coaster, a slide, and a seesaw type kid ride. We rode the Coaster 3 times and went down the 10 second slide twice before getting a slice of cake and a drink. We then could only sit and wait for the other person that rode in our carpool to be finished with whatever they were doing before we could head back… probably spent no more than 20-30 min on activities and the rest was waiting around or riding in a car. There was nothin about weight limits in confirmation email or on tickets. I had to dig deep in the description under additional information to see anything about weight limits so I hope anyone checking reviews can get this info in advance. We have zip lined in several countries in the world and never have seen a weight restriction this low and our group is not out of shape by any stretch of the word.

Nice experience but a bit overrated compared to the excitement of the Instagrammers promoting this venue

I saw the video of this location on Instagram and made me want to go there. I rented a motorbike and drove about an hour just to do the jungle coaster two times in a row. It was fun but less exciting than the rides you have in Western theme parks. Nevertheless it can be more fun when spending more money and also take the ziplining etc...

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the jungle coaster, even though it may not have been as thrilling as the rides in Western theme parks. We appreciate your honest feedback and hope you had an enjoyable time overall. We hope to welcome you back for more adventures in the future. Best Regards, Oh-Hoo Team

Great fun in the jungle of Northern Thailand

This was much better than expected. I didn't expect to be doing a full treetops biplane course tour and the guides were very good. The course does well to put a bit of fear into you, without being too extreme - but you do some very high zip lines! The coaster was fun. You control the speed/brake. It's over pretty quickly as expected, but worth the extra ticket price.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that the experience exceeded your expectations and that you enjoyed the full treetop zipline course. We’re also happy that you enjoyed the high zip lines and the fun challenge of the course. The coaster is definitely a quick but thrilling ride, and we’re glad you felt it was worth the extra ticket. Thank you again for choosing to join us. We truly appreciate your kind feedback and hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the future. Best Regards, Oh-Hoo Team

How much does Pongyang Jungle Coaster and Zipline Chiang Mai cost?

Is Pongyang Jungle Coaster and Zipline Chiang Mai worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pongyang Jungle Coaster and Zipline Chiang Mai?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Pongyang Jungle Coaster and Zipline Chiang Mai?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pongyang Jungle Coaster and Zipline Chiang Mai start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?

    +

On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
