    Nice but confusing

The Pompeii Ruins and Winery were lovely even with the torturing heat. There was some confusion with the driver. He said something about Vesuvius being closed. It was never confirmed. So he took us back to Naples to shop for souvenirs but couldn’t wait because he had another appointment.

    Excellent Tour. Eduardo...

Excellent Tour. Eduardo was flexible with itinerary, took us to places he thought we might like since it was extremely hot and we decided to only see Pompeii and the Winery. Both locations were fantastic. Fantastic food and wine. Very interesting facts about the winery. We asked to stop for local parties on the way to the train and Eduardo was spot on. Thanks for a great day

    Amazing Pompeii and Vineyard lunch

Salvatore was an amazing guide and waiting for us as we departed our ship. He first brought us to Pompeii for a tour of the site which was awesome. Then we headed to lunch at a vineyard and tour. With extra time to spare, Salvatore was able to take us to two spots on our way back; a drive through a town with sentimental value with ancestral ties and his favorite spot for a piece of Naplolitano pizza which was a must for us. Fantastic day with a fantastic guide! We will definitely book again!

    Just so so

This was not what we expected. Turned out to be a private driver to Pompeii once there we were own our own to get in line to pay for admission and get in line again to get an audio guide. The audio guide was not very helpful Recommend you just get a guided tour After Pompeii we went to lunch at the hillside winery This was very nice We believe we were to be taken to Vesuvius and one other attraction either stop. When we told the driver we would skip Vesuvius but wanted to go to Herculanum The driver insisted we had to pay an additional 40 Euros to go there We said no. So basically all we got was a driver to take us to Pompeii to drop us at the entrance and take us to the lunch on the way back Rather expensive at $400 We are convinced there are much better values and experiences to be had. Really can't recommend this tour

Pompeii Ruins & Wine Tasting with Lunch on Vesuvius with Private Transfer: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.

How much does Pompeii Ruins & Wine Tasting with Lunch on Vesuvius with Private Transfer cost?

    +

Prices start at $148 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pompeii Ruins & Wine Tasting with Lunch on Vesuvius with Private Transfer take?

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.

Is Pompeii Ruins & Wine Tasting with Lunch on Vesuvius with Private Transfer worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pompeii Ruins & Wine Tasting with Lunch on Vesuvius with Private Transfer?

    +

Is Pompeii Ruins & Wine Tasting with Lunch on Vesuvius with Private Transfer suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Pompeii Ruins & Wine Tasting with Lunch on Vesuvius with Private Transfer?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pompeii Ruins & Wine Tasting with Lunch on Vesuvius with Private Transfer start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Naples?

    +

On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naples?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naples?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
