Vesuvius National Park
Mount Vesuvius (tickets and alpine guide in a small group included) : it is best known for its eruption in AD 79 that led to the burying and destruction of the Roman cities of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Oplontis and Stabiae. You will be able to visit the volcano, which reaches an altitude of 4,203-feet (1,281-meters). From there the crater can be reached on foot by using a path that is 0.75-miles (1,200-meters) long that takes you to the summit of the volcano.

Lunch and Wine Tasting (both included): In a local restaurant/winery on the slope of the Vesuvius Volcano: it is located between Pompeii and Vesuvius' volcanic crater. All guests visiting the winery are welcome to stay for an "Italian style" tasting, held on the terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. Tasting menu includes: • Antipasto appetizer with local products: salami, provolone cheese, 'casatiello' (a local savory bread), and bruschetta with heirloom Piennolo tomatoes on bread baked in a wood-burning oven, paired with Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Bianco DOP, Rosato, and Rosso. • Spaghetti made with durum wheat flour and tossed with a sauce made from heirloom Piennolo tomatoes and basil, paired with Lacryma Christi Riserva (aged in French oak barrels for 18 - 24 months). • Pastiera Napolitana, a traditional dessert, paired with Capafresca Spumante Rosato and Acquavite di Albicocche del Vesuvio, an apricot distillate. • Under 18 soft drinks instead wine.

To climb the Volcano we suggest you may need to have with you: rain gear, hat, sneakers or climbing boots, sun screen and water

Mt. Vesuvius, lunch, and Pompei
Paolo was a wonderful guide and made our day absolutely unforgettable. He drove us to Mount Vesuvius while sharing fascinating knowledge about Rome and the beautiful Italian countryside along the way. The hike to the top of Mount Vesuvius was incredible — the volcano itself was truly breathtaking, and it was an experience we’ll never forget. We also enjoyed a fantastic wine tasting and an amazing lunch at Cantina Del Vesuvio, which was a perfect complement to the day. We ended with a private tour of Pompeii led by Marilisa, who was equally outstanding — knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the history. From start to finish, the entire day was seamless and perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Paolo to anyone visiting the area.
