Pompeii & Wine
From my first email with Diego, the experience was top notch. We booked a private pick up from our hotel, a private skip the line tour of pompeii, lunch at a winery followed by a tasting at a second winery. Our day began with a prompt pickup and a great smile from Mario and the day only got better. Mario is knowledgeable and passionate about Pompeii and the surrounding areas. His love of archeology and Napoli shined through the entire day. The winerys recommended by Diego, were perfect. The wine and food were outstanding. Amazing Pompeii tour experience!
Diego and Mario made our Naples to Pompeii day trip incredible. Diego picked us up right at our hotel, texted ahead of time so there were no surprises, and had water in the car for us. Super comfortable ride, and he was so kind. He pointed out things along the way to Pompeii too, which was a nice bonus. He handed us off to Mario, who had already grabbed our tickets so we didn't have to deal with any of that. Mario's knowledge was next level. He explained everything in a way that was really easy to follow, not overwhelming at all, and kept pointing out little details we would've totally missed on our own. Asked him a bunch of questions and he had an answer for everything. 2.5 hours flew by. Honestly Pompeii ended up being the highlight of our whole trip because of him! Then Mario handed us back to Diego for the ride home, and he gave us some solid food recommendations for Naples too. The whole thing was so easy start to finish, we didn't have to think about a single detail. Highly recommend both of them if you're headed that way.

Pompeii and Herculaneum
We went to both Pompeii and Herculaneum. Diego was our driver and Mario was our guide. Both were excellent. Diego was knowledgeable about the local area and gave us great information on the drive, and Mario was an incredible tour guide. He actually spent a year in school digging at Pompeii, and was so interesting and had a true love for the area and the history. Amazing team. Well worth it!!

Great communication and very friendly!
Here’s a version that stays positive and appreciative while gently mentioning the itinerary issue without making it the focus: We had a great experience with Visit Amalfi Coast. Communication before our trip was easy, and they worked with us to plan our itinerary in advance. Enrico, our driver, communicated with us that morning and was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming throughout the day. Our private guide in Pompeii was excellent and customized our tour to 90 minutes because of the heat and our schedule while still making the history interesting, engaging, and fun. The only hiccup was that our prearranged itinerary didn’t completely match what happened that day, but Enrico was flexible and took us to some beautiful lookout points and a couple of areas we hadn’t expected to see. We were also able to walk to Spaccanapoli from our ship on our own. Overall, we really enjoyed our day and appreciated everyone who helped make it a memorable experience!

Professor Pompeii
Pompeii is huge and it is impossible to see it all in a couple hours. It is still an active archeological site. Our guide Marcello was incredible. An archeologist/anthropology professor. He gave us a marvelous tour and was so informative. He chose some major highlights and a few new discoveries. Answered questions and just gave us a marvelous experience.
