My trek with Dodi was truly amazing. He was friendly, caring, and always attentive to my needs. Throughout the journey, he maintained a professional yet warm demeanor. I appreciated how he gave me plenty of space when I needed time to myself. At the same time, he was always available to answer my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. His knowledge of the area and willingness to share insights made the experience even more enriching. Overall, Dodi’s guidance made the trek unforgettable and enjoyable.

First time trekkers in Nepal - tough but worth it

Milan babu Rai is a helpful and knowledgeable guide for our first trekking experience in Nepal. He was always willing to help in any way possible. Under his guidance we were able to time our climb to Poon Hill to see amazing views of thr Himalayas despite a cloudy rainy morning. We can observe he is a kind-hearted man and well-respected by his peers. The overnight accommodation on the tour was comfortable and allowed us to feel rested for the next days trek.

Response from the operator: Dear valuable guest, Thank you so much for sharing your experience that you have done with us. We will always be looking to serve you for your upcoming next trip with more amenities. Best regards.

    Fantastic trekking experience in Nepal

We were a batch of 5 people of which 4 were 50+ and not the fittest. The entire trek was a fantastic experience and was for 4 days and 3 nights. We experienced all sorts of paths, right from steps, snow walk, water crossings and flat paths which were all very exciting except for walking on melting snow - which was a bit scary. We did have a couple of falls while walking on them however nothing very serious. The entire journey of the trek is extremely picturesque and we pass through forests, fantastic views of the Himalayas and of course, the fantastic sight of the sunrise at Poonhill was the icing. The stays at the T rooms were great and the food & hospitality at these stopovers were better than we had expected. We met some amazing people along the way and were quite amazed to bump into people from almost several parts of the world meeting up during this 4 day trek. It was not too difficult a trek if one is fit and hopefully we will attempt another trek soon enough. It is surely a trek that one must experience and do without fail.

Pokhara: Poon Hill Ghorepani Short Trek: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pokhara.

How much does Pokhara: Poon Hill Ghorepani Short Trek cost?

    +

Prices start at $290 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pokhara usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pokhara: Poon Hill Ghorepani Short Trek take?

    +

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pokhara is not rushed.

Is Pokhara: Poon Hill Ghorepani Short Trek worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Pokhara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pokhara: Poon Hill Ghorepani Short Trek?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Pokhara: Poon Hill Ghorepani Short Trek suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Pokhara: Poon Hill Ghorepani Short Trek?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pokhara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pokhara and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pokhara: Poon Hill Ghorepani Short Trek start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pokhara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Pokhara?

    +

On Outty we rank every Pokhara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ghorepani - Poon Hill Trek 3N-4D, Annapurna Base Camp Trek -8 days, Annapurna Base Camp Treks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Pokhara?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Pokhara?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
