    Superior experience

I took rides with Joe Banana in both Florence and Rome during my short stops of the cruise vacations. Both were amazing and both drivers (Franchesco and Antonio) were extraordinary and made my family trip unforgettable. Thank you for this experience and for the outstanding service. I will definitely use Joe Banana’s services whenever in Italy and will definitely recommend them to anyone visiting here. Thanks again 🙏

    Florence/Pisa Tour

Our tour guide was Francesco, who was absolutely fabulous. Very knowledgeable. We spent all our time around Florence which is just beautiful. We used JoeBananaLimo private tours. The tours can be expensive but are worth every penny. We also did a JoeBananaLimo tour in Naples. We did the Amalfi Coast, also excellent, with Antonio.

Response from the operator: Dear Victoria, Our drivers want to make your tours memorable and when we receive a kind review acknowledging such efforts, it reinforces our goals for customer satisfaction. Our drivers do their best everyday to make the most of your shore excursions, from punctuality and professionalism to being informative and friendly, they pride themselves in giving you an experience that you will remember forever! Giving information about the different sites in the areas we visit and sharing stories of our lives and yours is what makes for a fun day for everyone. We appreciate when we receive a review such as yours as it reinforces our efforts for your tour satisfaction. The details you provided about each tour will really help future guests to understand what to expect from our company, and we really appreciate it. Thank you once again for your time in writing this review and for allowing us to show you our beautiful country! We hope to see you again in the future

Wonderful day with Francesco & Joe Banana Tours in Florence

This is our 3rd time booking with Joe Banana Tours and we were not disappointed. Francesco met us at the ship on time with a luxury van for the 6 of us. We first went to Pisa and on the way, he told us stories of the Tuscan life, food, history, etc. What a site! It was never really on my bucket list, but it was on one of our groups, but so glad I saw it. Overwhelming. We were lucky to get there early before the big groups got there so we got wonderful pictures. From there we went to Lucca. Amazing little town and we'll go back! Francesco gave us the sites to see on our own, and we were able to roam the streets and get wonderful pictures. Leaving Lucca we traveled to Florence, stopping at the best sights for pictures. He continued educating us on Florence. He recommended a spot for lunch and phoned ahead to make sure they could accommodate us. It was delicious!! Since we didn't have time to do museums, he suggested we visit a local winery in Chianti and SO GLAD we did! We were the only ones there and they gave us a tour of the winery and we had wonderful tastings. The wines were delicious and several of us purchased bottles. It was a great deviation from the crowds of Florence and an opportunity to see the countryside! Francesco got us back to the ship in plenty of time and we had a really delightful day with him. Once again Joe Banana tours took special care of us & we thoroughly enjoyed Francesco!

Response from the operator: Dear Tharley01, Our drivers want to make your tours memorable and when we receive a kind review acknowledging such efforts, it reinforces our goals for customer satisfaction. As a private company, we are able to provide a more personal touch during your tours that is usually not offered by cruise ships or larger tour operators, and being our drivers all local they pride themselves to help you customise your private service in order to offer you a unique Experience you will never forget! Thank you for acknowledging the value in the services we offer and once again for choosing Joe Banana Limos. We hope to see you again in the future!

    Florence & Pisa

We got to see everything we wanted and rate our driver, guide, and total 9-hour tour experience as excellent. This was day 1 of 3 for my family & me with Joe Banana Limos. We were on a cruise and hired them for all 3 city stops in Italy. I can only rave about the drivers and guides. Also, I want to mention Marianna who was my connection to the company while I was deciding on what to book. She was so kind and patient with me while I made up my mind. Bottom line - wonderful company. Don't hesitate to hire then.

Response from the operator: Dear Bobbi1010, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about the multiple services for which you kindly engaged our company. We all appreciate your feedback and acknowledgement of our efforts to make your traveling experience with us as seamless as possible. We believe in a team approach and respect the value contributed by each person in our company to ultimately provide you with a vacation experience to remember forever. To have had the opportunity to work with your family and help you customize such an important family trip means a lot to us. We hope that the memories you made will last a lifetime and you will have the opportunity to create new ones with us on a future trip to Italy! It would be our honor to provide you with services again!

Pisa & Florence: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Pisa & Florence cost?

    +

Prices start at $213 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pisa & Florence take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Pisa & Florence worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pisa & Florence?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Pisa & Florence suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Pisa & Florence?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pisa & Florence start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
