    Private driver with customized trip

They told us when booking this would be a private tour and we could create our own agenda. This was not true. We could not change the agenda. Very misleading aviator was looking for a sale. Our driver was good but had no idea what Viator had promised and was not able to accommodate

Response from the operator: First of all, I want to thank you for the review. I have no idea who promised you a tour where you could customize the day to your liking, since you NEVER spoke to me! If you had sent me a message, we could have discussed it, since the tour is an 8-hour package from the port of Livorno to visit Pisa and Florence. That said, when the driver called and informed me of your request, I immediately took steps to find what you wanted: to see Tuscany. I managed to book a tasting for you that same day in less than 2 hours. The Lucca and Florence tour, as I explained to you over the phone, could be done, but it would have taken more driving time since the two cities are a bit further apart than the "original" trip. I'm happy to read that the driver did his job, but I'd say that more than a review of my business, this should have been a review of Viator, not of us, who, I sincerely hope, accommodated your request at the last minute.

    Tour of Florence and Pisa

This was one of the best vacation experience I have ever had. My family and friends went on a European cruise and one of our stops was Florence/Pisa. We had a fantastic time. I must confess that I was a bit apprehensive at first because I made the reservation from the U.S. with Stefano. However, I was extremely pleased with the service we received. I highly recommend anyone who would like a private tour to hire Stefano and his driver Mattia. The vehicle was a beautiful van that had more than enough space. The driver, Mattia, was personable and took really good care of us. Thanks Stefano and Mattia for a wonderful experience. If I'm ever back in Florence, I will definitely call you and recommend anyone to hire your service. A job well done!

    Avoid

I would avoid using this company we didn’t get anything we were promised we were lied to about getting tickets to climb the tower of Pisa we were told there were none available and there were hundreds available but they brought us there first and the tickets started at 12pm so we couldn’t go in we were also told the duomo was free to enter and it was not if we would have known this we could have bought tickets in advance basically your paying a ridiculous amount of money for a glorified taxi driver and Viator does nothing to protect its customers from providers like this beware

Response from the operator: I would start by responding to your review with this question... If out of 75 reviews 74 are "top" and only 1 is "terrible", is there a question to ask? Does anyone think that threatening to give a bad review could make those who work do it for free, favoring the smart ones? That said, there were exchanges of phone calls and messages where I had already responded. But I care about the image of my company and therefore, seeing that falsehoods are said, I willingly reply. We are a PEOPLE TRANSPORT company and not a tour operator. Nobody promises or sells tickets to climb the leaning tower or to enter the cathedral. If we SUCCEED, we willingly help customers choose the best times. Requesting a reservation for the Leaning Tower of Pisa a few days before, in a high season period where others book months in advance is absolutely absurd, especially if you then expect to find the ticket (but we had tried anyway). When YOU went to the tower you found that they had free tickets because they partly keep them for those who go directly to buy them (therefore they cannot be sold or booked online) and partly they have empty spaces for those who did not show up. Regarding the cathedral of Florence, entry was free. But it's one thing to enter the cathedral, it's another thing to expect to go up to the parts reserved for those who, days if not months before, have reserved the ticket and paid for it. I repeat, all of this has already been said by me, first and foremost by phone, by my driver who tried to explain to you with great patience. But I remember well having answered on the phone that in addition to not being able to manage something that does NOT depend on us, I have never liked threats. I am happy that you will decide to avoid our company for your next transports in Italy and Europe, so you will save me from having to deny you service in the wrong way. And THANK YOU SO MUCH for giving me the opportunity to respond publicly so that those who are truly interested in spending a day with a good driver, someone who advises, who can give help... with professionals who get paid to give the best service possible, now you know who to turn to. I hope you have good future travels but I recommend showing respect to those who work for you.

    10/10: Pisa/Florence and Wine

Our family took a Pisa/Florence tour from the port of Livorno where our cruise ship docked. Francesco was an incredible host for the day. Extremely flexible with our itinerary and gave great recommendations for what to see and where to go. We mentioned that we would have liked to taste some wine in Tuscany and he found a beautiful winery Castello Sonnino for us to stop at on the way back. Safe to say if and when we come back to Florence we will be calling Francesco for another tour!

    Amazing and professional. Customizable tour!

We booked a last minute tour because our original one was cancelled with another company. They quickly confirmed this booking and customized our experience perfectly to our needs. Francesco was an amazing guide and drove us past all the major Florence sites as well as the Leaning Tower of Pisa. While in Florence, it was too hot out so we wished to leave the city and find a vineyard. Francesco arranged this quickly and professionally despite it being a Sunday, bringing us to a beautiful castle in the Tuscany countryside! I could not have asked for a better experience and I would recommend to anyone!

Pisa/Florence from Livorno: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Pisa/Florence from Livorno cost?

    +

Prices start at $910 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pisa/Florence from Livorno take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Pisa/Florence from Livorno worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pisa/Florence from Livorno?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Pisa/Florence from Livorno suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Pisa/Florence from Livorno?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pisa/Florence from Livorno start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
