IF IN CANCUN DO NOT BUY
The description does not disclose that you will spend 9 HOURS in a bumpy car driving to/from the excursions and pickup/dropoffs at hotels in Playa Del Carmen. We asked if we could be dropped off first in Cancun — which is DOZENS of miles closer to Colorados/Rio Lagartos — before the Carmen passengers because we had a rehearsal dinner to attend for our friends wedding. The staff refused. (We were also picked up first at 6am so the least they could do, out of fairness, was honor this request). The excursions themselves were enjoyable. Los Colorados appears as pictured. The description also does not say you will be held hostage without food on a boat for 2 hours. There is also a stop at a wildlife reserve which, while enjoyable, was not mentioned and tacked on additional time. In total, the activities themselves took up approximately 4-5 hours of the whole day. It is 7pm and we still have at least 2 hours left in this car. Unless you enjoy interminable bumpy car rides, do not buy this. The description is entirely fraudulent and I will be requesting a refund.
Response from the operator: The description does disclose that the tour lasts around 14 hours, of which around 8 are spent in the transportation Las Coloradas & Rio Lagartos are places far away from most cities Cancun is not the first city where the transportation arrived after the tour, you were asking to ignore everyone else so you can be dropped off first. You were asking for the opposite of fairness There is literally a mention about a 2 hour boat ride at Rio Lagartos The wild life reserve was also mentioned in the description In your review you describe the tour itself as enjoyable and good, your complaints come from something that does not have anything to do with the tour or it's advertising

Half the tour is pick up and drop offs of neighboring cities
If you're coming from Cancun, you will be sitting in the car for an extra 5 hours just to do pick up and drop offs in other cities. Had I known this, I would NEVER have taken this tour.
Response from the operator: You did know about it, since that information about travel times where publised and advertised for everyone to see

Great experience
Excellent trip (very long day, pick up at 620am dropped off at 9pm so pack accordingly) Bus driver jesus, tour guides Chu Chu and Toledo were excellent host. Definitely recommend this trip.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the kind words! We are glad that you got to enjoyed it We hope to see you soon again! There's plenty more to explore

Scam
They said they would pick us up in the lobby, they didn't and left without us. Then they tried to have us leave in a taxi car (a family of 3 with a toddler) which they already had 2 people in the back. No safe and such a scam! avoid at all cost.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience It was not a taxi, it's a minivan and the tour was always meant to be shared. All that information is displayed at the tour description You claimed that you did not want to have your infant child to be sitting in your lap, you wanted her to have a sit. The infant was for free and in the description of the tour it says that all infants must sit in laps

Amazing
The tour was great . The tour guide had such a great attitude and was so funny . The tour was so much fun just running from adventure to adventure The only negative thing I can say is that there isn’t enough information given about the fun activities through out the day as example I had no knowledge that we were going to be in water and did not bring a bathing suit it would be great if there can be a little more details given about the fun activities throughout the day
Response from the operator: We greatly appreciate your feedback and will work to improve our product information. It is great to know that you enjoyed your day with us and we hope to see you back very soon.

Why this scores 49
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Pink Lake and Flamingo Sightseeing in Rio Lagartos: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Pink Lake and Flamingo Sightseeing in Rio Lagartos cost?
+
Prices start at $145 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Pink Lake and Flamingo Sightseeing in Rio Lagartos take?
+
Plan for about 13 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Pink Lake and Flamingo Sightseeing in Rio Lagartos worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Pink Lake and Flamingo Sightseeing in Rio Lagartos?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Pink Lake and Flamingo Sightseeing in Rio Lagartos suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 13-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Pink Lake and Flamingo Sightseeing in Rio Lagartos?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 13-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Pink Lake and Flamingo Sightseeing in Rio Lagartos start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
