    About this experience

The highlight of this trip from Prague is the Pilsner Urquell brewery tour. Their lager defined the world's most popular pilsner type of beer. The brewery tour includes the modern brewery, the bottling plant, the old brewery with the historic underground and an interactive sensory museum where you can touch and taste the ingredients. Visit to historical Pilsen

Hana was exceptional guide. She was very knowledgeable and engaging. She pointed out many interesting sites as we traveled from Prague to Pilsen. The synagogue was magnificent and her knowledge was extensive. The Pilsen Brewery tour was very thorough and interesting. Although we found the beer a little bitter. As an addition, Hana took us to an outdoor market where we sampled first crush wine and fried dough which were delicious. Hana went out of her way to give us the opportunity on our return to Prague to visit the church with The Infant of Prague. A thoroughly enjoyable day.

Response from the operator: Dear Maria M, Thank you for your nice words. Yes, Hana is a walking-talking library, as we have noted elsewhere. We try to promote the synagogue as it is not very well known for some strange reason despite being such an amazing structure. Yes, the Pilsner beer is the original Pilsner type of beer (70% of world beer production is derived from it). The young beer you have tasted in the brewery is especially bitter - but it is the only place where you can taste this young beer, so I hope it was still worth the experience :-) We will forward your kind words to Hana, she will be happy to hear form you!

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Prague?

    +

On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, Prague Essential Tour Old Town and Jewish Quarter. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Prague?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Prague?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
