A Journey to Pokhara — Gentle on the Soul, Heavy on the Heart

This is my 2nd visit to country that fulls of colours and authentic culture. I booked with Alpine Club of Himalaya for the 2nd time. It was a last minute trip to Pokhara this time around but the way they handled it as though as all is well planned and the coordination is just great. I love my stays both in Kathmandu and Pokhara, a well recommended hotels by Alpine Club. It was a short trip but I felt the way it was manage - just enough. The Guide Krishna and Driver Ganesh was so friendly and helpful. I told them I am into places where I can take some good photographs. Some of the places are pretty crowded due to upcoming new year and religious celebration, but what I really appreciate, Krishna would always look over his shoulder to check on me, so he don’t lose me. It was very kind of him for taking me to some spots that is pretty interesting, and even helped me to take some of pictures. We drove to Sarangkot, the mountain, the view is just mind blowing, I wish I could remember all the names of the villages that we stopped by. On my last day, I spent sometime alone to walk around in Pokhara town area after the dropped off, the weather was lovely, the people friendly and I felt safe at the same time. Nepal has a lot to offer. I travelled to many places, my priority would always be about the safety, coordination and you know you can count on someone. I would definitely go back again if times permit and choose Alpine Club of Himalaya as my GO-TO ground provider. Krishna did invite me to come back for the mountain - the guy is just funny and kind!

Explore the best of pokhara in a day

Pumdikot was the big surprise, we had great clear weather, the view of the valley was nice with the Shiva statue also glistening in the sun. The ride in the tourist car was arduous because of the bad roads and climbing up we had many winding and sharp turns. The Devi falls was all dried up, so it wasn't that impressive.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Namaste and Greetings from Alpine Club of Himalaya !!! Thank you for choosing Alpine Club of Himalaya for your holidays and I am quite thank full to you for your time dropping nice review here. It was rewarding for all of us to read that every aspect of your trip was of memorable. As usual, it will give me great joy to share your words with the team who continuously do their best to please our clients. We look forward to your next visit to Nepal with your friends/family to experience and re-discover what my agency can offer in term of services and products as appreciated by many of our valued customers for greater adventures in their walk of the Himalaya. Picturesque Pokhara Tour - Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pokhara.

How much does Picturesque Pokhara Tour - Day Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pokhara usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Picturesque Pokhara Tour - Day Tour take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pokhara is not rushed.

Is Picturesque Pokhara Tour - Day Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Pokhara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Picturesque Pokhara Tour - Day Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Picturesque Pokhara Tour - Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Picturesque Pokhara Tour - Day Tour?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pokhara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pokhara and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Picturesque Pokhara Tour - Day Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pokhara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Pokhara?

+

On Outty we rank every Pokhara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ghorepani - Poon Hill Trek 3N-4D, Annapurna Base Camp Trek -8 days, Annapurna Base Camp Treks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Pokhara?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Pokhara?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
