    About this experience

Step into a true Greek kitchen and experience cooking as it’s done in Greece — with heart, passion, and joy. In this hands-on class, you create your own menu, choosing one pie, one main per group, one dip, and one salad. Every dish is crafted for your taste, yet guided by the essence of Greek culinary culture: learning to adapt flavors, honor tradition, and make each dish your own. Cook with fresh, local ingredients alongside a local mom or dad, rolling delicate phyllo, mixing vibrant flavors, and exploring techniques passed down through generations. It’s not just about following a recipe — it’s about bringing Greek flavors closer to you, shaping them with your hands and taste buds. Could not have done better

The experience felt just like walking into a Greek home. While we selected the menus, our host went above and beyond showing how to maximise everything we had prepared for the other dishes and turned them into extra plates. I wanted to highlight to my young adult children that good food does not need to be expensive as long as you start with fresh, quality ingredients and prepare them in simple, but classic ways. The dishes were straight from a Greek grandmother’s kitchen, balanced, and delicious. My kids now have a deeper appreciation for Greek food and will remember the trip long after the photos are deleted, because every time they have tzatziki, spanakopita, feta, orzo, or baklava they will have the memory of this trip. I want to thank our hosts and tell them job well done!!!

    Awesome Experience!

It was an amazing experience. My wife and I came here on our honeymoon. The food we made was wonderful and delicious. The company and direction provided to us by the staff was exceptional. Minas and Viselis ( I hope I spelled that right) were awesome hosts!

Such a fun class with wonderful people. The highlight of our time in Athens.

My sons bought this cooking class for my birthday and it was the highlight of our time in Athens. Both Minas and his beautiful aunt Ava could not of been kinder or better teachers, we made an incredible amount of food with beautiful fresh ingredients and the whole time felt at home and relaxed. I have done a lot of cooking classes and this one will definitely stand out as one where we had a lot of fun while learning some new techniques and going home with recipes that I will definitely be able to use in my kitchen. I would recommend this to both cooks and novices and would love to come back and try another class.

Such a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Such a wonderful experience from start to finish. We felt incredibly welcome — it honestly felt like cooking at home with friends. The food was absolutely delicious, made with amazing ingredients, including homemade products and incredibly tasty fruits and vegetables from their own local producers. Everything felt authentic, warm, and full of care. We also loved that we could take the leftover food with us afterwards. We truly loved the experience and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

    Delicious food with great friends!!

Wow! What a fun day spent cooking with friends! From the pre activity communication to the adaptability of the class, the team at Eat With Your Greek Cousin makes the whole experience personalized and unique! A group of 9 of us were able to pick our menu ahead of time and even with some dietary restrictions we were all able to make dishes that were delicious! The layout of the class was engaging and fun and we learned so much!

Pick Your Plates, Cook & Savor- Greek Cooking Class in Athens: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Pick Your Plates, Cook & Savor- Greek Cooking Class in Athens cost?

    +

Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pick Your Plates, Cook & Savor- Greek Cooking Class in Athens take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Pick Your Plates, Cook & Savor- Greek Cooking Class in Athens worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pick Your Plates, Cook & Savor- Greek Cooking Class in Athens?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Pick Your Plates, Cook & Savor- Greek Cooking Class in Athens suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Pick Your Plates, Cook & Savor- Greek Cooking Class in Athens?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pick Your Plates, Cook & Savor- Greek Cooking Class in Athens start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
