Wonderful evening out

Nana was an excellent guide! She was attentive and knowledgeable. Our driver was right on time and drove us safely thru the “horrendous” traffic. We enjoyed tasting the traditional foods and generally avoiding the high tourist areas. The evening was a mix of sampling foods, wandering local streets and viewing other highlights

Local Foodie Tour. By Locals. For Tourists.

If you are thinking that Pad Thai and Satay Sticks is your idea of authentic Thai food, and what you are after, this tour is not for you. This is a genuine look at what local Thai food is, and you get to experience it like the locals do. Gigi was our guide, and she couldn’t have been any more perfect. Happy and friendly from the visit first minute, her energy was infectious and meant that we had the best time. We got to enjoy food that we have never tried, and some things that we have never even heard of. It was all amazing. Such a great experience that had a local real local vibe that we got to embrace. Couldn’t recommend this tour enough, and make sure you get Gigi.

Awesome tour with local knowledge

Our group of 4 loved the food tour we experienced in December. Our guide, Phon, was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable about Thai cuisine and culture. I won't spoil the surprises, but the tour felt like visiting an old friend in a new city and they showed the best parts in a 5 hour window. The best part was being able to point at food items and just say "I want to try that" and Phon would take care of the rest! We went to places we never would have been able to find on our own. The tour was perfect for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Highly recommended for someone visiting Phuket that hasn't been before.

Fabulous!!!

Absolutely brilliant foodie night tour by Tuktuk. 6 different stops with a varied sample of Thai food at each one. A great way to sample some fabulous traditional food in traditional street bars. Final stop was a roof bar which had incredible views. We are from UK and there was a good mix of people from over the world. Preme was our tour guide and she was great. Very informative and enthusiastic and always had a smiling happy face. Our Tuktuk driver was Sat and he was great too. I’d highly recommend this tour - and go with an empty stomach.

Foodie tour with Fon!

Fon was an engaging and knowledgeable guide! She put together a food tour that accommodated our specific tastes and patiently explained everything we did, saw and ate. All while being a delight to spend the evening with.

Phuket Night Food Tour & Old Town's Magical Lights: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.

How much does Phuket Night Food Tour & Old Town's Magical Lights cost?

+

Prices start at $2700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Phuket Night Food Tour & Old Town's Magical Lights take?

+

Plan for about 5.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.

Is Phuket Night Food Tour & Old Town's Magical Lights worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Phuket Night Food Tour & Old Town's Magical Lights?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Phuket Night Food Tour & Old Town's Magical Lights suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Phuket Night Food Tour & Old Town's Magical Lights?

+

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 5.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Phuket Night Food Tour & Old Town's Magical Lights start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phuket?

+

On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phuket?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phuket?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
