Mediocre experience
Not the best of tours, 3 hours spent on lunch and beach that was not the cleanest, and then rushed through the rest of the tour including sunset town which we could have spent an hour or two walking around but instead were given 5 minutes to take some pics.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback. We're truly sorry that the tour didn't meet your expectations. We understand your disappointment about spending too much time at lunch and the beach, while feeling rushed at Sunset Town. Your comments are very valuable, and we'll share them with our operations team to review the itinerary and improve the time allocation for future guests. We sincerely apologize for the experience and appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. We hope we'll have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.

Not bad, but beware of a different itinerary
The itinerary on Tripadvisor included: Pearl farm, Ho Quoc Temple, Prison History Museum and Sunset Town. Interestingly, our group were brought to 3 other commercial spots as well - Pepper farm, sim garden and fish sauce factory. These were commercial sites where lots of products were sold. No one forced us to buy anything but it seemed a little weird as these were not mentioned on the itinerary. We had lunch at a nice beach named Sao Beach along the east coast of Phu Quoc Island. We were allowed to spend 2 hours there. The lunch was average - we had a hotpot with some seafood, salad, fried morning glory, curry chicken and fish, which were shared among the 8 of us joining the tour. It could have been more appropriate if shared cutlery had been provided, as not every one in the tour was be used to sharing dishes after someone else's choosticks had touched the food on that plate. The beach and sea were beautiful and relaxing, and we spent some enjoyable time there after lunch. Our tour guide was a friendly local young woman called Tiny. She was helpful and gave us some useful information about some of the sites we visited. We did not go to Sunset town in the end. We were not unhappy with the tour but felt the schedules and sites should have been more compliant to the original itinerary listed at the time of booking.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely appreciate your comments and apologize for any confusion regarding the itinerary. Sometimes the schedule may be adjusted due to weather, traffic, or operational conditions to ensure the best possible experience for our guests. We will continue improving our tour information and communication to avoid misunderstandings in the future. Thank you again for joining our tour, and we hope to have another opportunity to welcome you back to Phu Quoc.

Not the best experience
No information about pick up on the evening before, I had to message them first. Super rushed and hectic tour. Felt like the guide just wanted to call it a day as soon as possible. We payed 100K per person extra for our hotel pick-up and drop-off. Also, the tour lists Sunset Town as the last stop, so we thought we would be droped off at the hotel after Sunset Town but the truth was, that they either drop you off at Sunset Town and you have to get back to your hotel on your own OR they skip Sunset Town and drive you back to the hotel - that‘s not what was listed. All in all: skip this tour, go to the stops on your own with Grab - way cheaper and more time for shopping and exploring.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the experience did not fully meet your expectations.

Very boring tour not worth money
Found tour incredibly boring sites not very exciting pearl factory about 10 minutes information on how a pearl comes to be rest wandering around sales people trying to get people to purchase. Peppercorn stop was fine but little underwhelming, probably best was silk factory and information, but again all about selling their products way too long there. Lunch was really good at beach. Our tour guide was really nice but extremely limited English so not much being told at each stop we would just walk around with other English speaking tourists while the Russian speaking guide spent most of the time describing everything to Russian tourists.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the tour did not fully meet your expectations. The stops at pearl, pepper, and silk facilities are part of the local culture and production experiences in Phu Quoc, but we understand that they may feel less exciting for some guests. We also appreciate your kind comment about the guide and will review the English explanation quality with our team to improve future tours. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Phu Quoc Sightseeing Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phu Quoc.
How much does Phu Quoc Sightseeing Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $31 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phu Quoc usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Phu Quoc Sightseeing Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phu Quoc is not rushed.
Is Phu Quoc Sightseeing Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phu Quoc, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Phu Quoc Sightseeing Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Phu Quoc Sightseeing Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Phu Quoc Sightseeing Day Tour?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phu Quoc can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phu Quoc and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Phu Quoc Sightseeing Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phu Quoc within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phu Quoc?
+
On Outty we rank every Phu Quoc experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ho Chi Minh City: Motorbike Street Food Tour with 12 Tastings, Full-Day Private Guided Tour in Phu Quoc Island with Hotel Pick Up, Best Seller-Private Full-Day Tour to Ninh Binh Depart from Hanoi. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phu Quoc?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phu Quoc?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
