Worst Trip Ever
This was the worst tour I have ever been on in over 40 years of travelling. The snorkelling locations were good but the rest of it was terrible. We did not get to snorkel until 4 hours after pick up having been dropped off at a pearl factory and shop for 30 mins and then having the big sell for an underwater walking experience. The photograph drop of was a complete waste of time where you were not allowed to take in your own bottles of water. The guide was not unpleasant but was far too regimented and did not understand his clients requirements. He was not happy that we took some water out of the cool box after 4 hours without being offered any. His use of a megaphone just annoyed us even more!! Quick, quick, hurry was not necessary. The party was well over 25 in number and the “speedboat” was enclosed and very hot. Totally inappropriate for this type of use. Additionally, the ladders to get in and out of the water needed one or two extra steps under the water for easier exit. The snorkelling areas were good as was the lunch but the islands were far too commercialised and were clearly there to obtain money from people which is why you spend so much time waiting around. About 1.5 hours maximum snorkelling out of an 8 hour day is not good!! This was a very poor experience that could have been so much better. I would strongly not recommend it which for any who has read my previous reviews will be surprised as they are usually complimentary. Great pity.
Response from the operator: Dear Adrian, Thank you for your detailed feedback. We are very sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. This is a group tour, and we always try to balance the needs of different groups while following the full itinerary as described. We will review your feedback carefully to improve future experiences. We appreciate your kind words about the snorkeling locations and lunch, and we will share them with our team. Thank you again for helping us identify areas where we can do better. Warm regards, Trang Pham.

Underwhelming
Enjoyed the snorkeling, however, there is a lot of wasted time at islands which were very commercialized. We also stopped at the Pearl Farm, which was unexpected. Really impressove the work they are doing. The islands were very crowded and honestly kind of dirty. If you want to take a shower at the end it cost additional money and there was no place to just rinse off. The snorkeling was underwhelming with only a few variety of fish. Morning snorkel was good, beaitiful coral, however, afternoon my snorkel tube had a hole and when they replaced the mask never fit correctly. Several people were touching the coral. We did see an octopus though. The service at lunch was horrible. Jerry our guide and boat driver was great! If you are going to do, choose private.
Response from the operator: Dear Deborah, Thank you for sharing your honest feedback with us. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the morning snorkeling and that you appreciated the visit to the Pearl Farm. It’s also wonderful to know that Jerry and our boat driver took good care of you we will definitely pass your kind words on to them. At the same time, we truly regret that some parts of the day did not meet your expectations. Phu Quoc is developing quickly and some islands can be busy and commercialized, especially during peak season. We understand how this can affect the overall experience. Regarding the snorkeling equipment, we sincerely apologize for the issue with your snorkel tube and mask in the afternoon. This should not have happened, and we will review our equipment checking process more carefully to avoid similar situations in the future. We also continuously remind guests not to touch coral, as protecting marine life is very important to us. Concerning lunch and shower facilities, thank you for highlighting this. The restaurant and facilities are managed by third party partners, but your feedback has been noted and we will share it with them to improve service quality. We truly appreciate your balanced comments and your suggestion about private tours they are indeed a great option for guests who prefer a more flexible and less crowded experience. Thank you again for choosing us and for taking the time to provide detailed feedback. We wish you many more wonderful travels ahead. Best regards, Trang Pham.

Excellent private tour
We booked a private tour with Huy as our guide. It was truly a wonderful day with two of the best snorkeling spots we have encountered. Meals was wonderful and Huy cought some fish for our lunch as well (can't get any fresher than that).
Response from the operator: Dear Dennis, Thank you so much for your excellent review and for choosing our private tour. We’re truly happy to hear that you had a wonderful day and enjoyed two of the best snorkeling spots around Phu Quoc. It’s great to know that you liked the lunch as well especially the fresh fish caught by Huy himself. We’ll be sure to pass on your kind words to him, he will be very proud to know he helped make your experience so memorable. Thank you again for traveling with us. We hope to welcome you back to Phu Quoc for another amazing adventure in the future. Best regards, Trang Pham.

A great tour
This was a great tour. The snorkeling spots were really lovely, with big, healthy corals. I did this tour and also did the one with the cable car on another day. The cable car was cool, but if you’re looking for a more chill experience with less crowds, pick this one.
Response from the operator: Dear bethm, Thank you so much for sharing your great review on Tripadvisor. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and found the snorkeling spots beautiful, with healthy and vibrant corals. It’s also wonderful to know that you experienced both our island hopping tour and the cable car tour, and that this one stood out for offering a more relaxed and less crowded atmosphere. Your comparison will certainly be very helpful for future travelers when choosing the experience that best suits their travel style. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share these insights. Thank you again for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back to Phu Quoc for another memorable adventure in the future. Best regards, Trang Pham.

Phu Quoc: Snorkeling and Island Hopping By Speedboat with Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phu Quoc.
How much does Phu Quoc: Snorkeling and Island Hopping By Speedboat with Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $53 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phu Quoc usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Phu Quoc: Snorkeling and Island Hopping By Speedboat with Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phu Quoc is not rushed.
Is Phu Quoc: Snorkeling and Island Hopping By Speedboat with Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phu Quoc, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Phu Quoc: Snorkeling and Island Hopping By Speedboat with Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Phu Quoc: Snorkeling and Island Hopping By Speedboat with Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Phu Quoc: Snorkeling and Island Hopping By Speedboat with Lunch?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phu Quoc can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phu Quoc and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Phu Quoc: Snorkeling and Island Hopping By Speedboat with Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phu Quoc within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phu Quoc?
+
On Outty we rank every Phu Quoc experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ho Chi Minh City: Motorbike Street Food Tour with 12 Tastings, Full-Day Private Guided Tour in Phu Quoc Island with Hotel Pick Up, Best Seller-Private Full-Day Tour to Ninh Binh Depart from Hanoi. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phu Quoc?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phu Quoc?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
