Fun and informative, a great first tour of Phoenix for us!
Between my hubby and me, I'm the believer and he's the skeptic, and we both thouroughly enjoyed the tour! Our tour guide Braydon (sp?) provided an EMF detector and dousing rods with explanations on how to use them, and I swear there were two locations where not only was the EMF going off but the rods were CLEARLY responding to something. :D In addition to the ghostly history, we also learned a bit about the history of the Phoenix downtown area in general, which we appreciated as this was our first visit to PHX. Really good evening walking tour. Weather was perfect too. Easy to find and lots of street parking. PS>> Would love the tour operator to please reach out to me so that I can send our guide an additional tip, serious..I was a little short of cash that night!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this—and we love a believer/skeptic duo enjoying the tour together! It’s always exciting when the equipment sparks those “wait… what was that?” moments 👻 We’re glad you enjoyed learning both the ghostly stories and the broader history of downtown Phoenix, especially on your first visit. Braydon will be thrilled to hear your kind words (and we’ll be sure he sees this!). As for the tip—thank you so much for even thinking of that. If you’d like, feel free to reach out to us through our website contact form and we’ll be happy to help pass it along. We truly appreciate you joining us and hope to see you again on another tour!

10/10 would ghost hunt here again!!
I had such a blast on my tour with Get Ghosted Phoenix! Nadine is very knowledgeable with the history and her storytelling was superb. My favorite part was using the equipment- EMF readers and Spirit boxes were handed out to everyone who participated in the tour and it made the tour just top notch by adding a spooky element!! We even captured some cool responses!! It was so fun learning about the dark history of notable locations in downtown phoenix and getting to try my hand at ghost hunting!! If you’re thinking of booking a tour, just do it!! You’ll have so much fun!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! We are so happy you enjoyed the ghost hunting and darh history of Phoenix. We hope to ghost hunt with you again on one of our other tours!

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Phoenix Ghost Tour: Haunted Jails, Rails & Grave Tales: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phoenix.
How much does Phoenix Ghost Tour: Haunted Jails, Rails & Grave Tales cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phoenix usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Phoenix Ghost Tour: Haunted Jails, Rails & Grave Tales take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phoenix is not rushed.
Is Phoenix Ghost Tour: Haunted Jails, Rails & Grave Tales worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phoenix, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Phoenix Ghost Tour: Haunted Jails, Rails & Grave Tales?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Phoenix Ghost Tour: Haunted Jails, Rails & Grave Tales suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Phoenix Ghost Tour: Haunted Jails, Rails & Grave Tales?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phoenix can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phoenix and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Phoenix Ghost Tour: Haunted Jails, Rails & Grave Tales start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phoenix within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phoenix?
+
Phoenix runs on desert experiences: sunrise hot air balloon lifts over the Sonoran, Camelback and South Mountain hikes, off-road Tonto Forest tours and day trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Heat safety and start times decide whether a tour is good, so we weight timing detail in the ranking. On Outty we rank every Phoenix experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kayaking the Salt River Foxtail Trip, Small-Group or Private Grand Canyon with Sedona Tour from Phoenix, Grand Canyon with Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon Van Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phoenix?
+
November to April. Summer tours run at dawn or not at all. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phoenix?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
