Most fun on a Vespa!
Our experience on the Vespa today was AWESOME! The trip exceeded expectations. The drivers were very safe and made sure we felt comfortable. An unexpected bonus was the route they took us on. We saw the main city but also side roads and then roads and streets only the locals knew, which we loved. They kept us hydrated and happy with a coconut water stop from real coconuts. The crispy soy detour and 7th generation silk weaving demonstration was really cool and a unique experience. We loved it. The food we made was fresh and healthy. It was also safe meaning it was cooked thoroughly and didn’t have anything such as bones or ingredients we didn’t feel comfortable. Finally, our guides were a lot of fun and spoke English better than we anticipated. They were a lot of fun to speak with. Overall, AMAZING EXPERIENCE.

Unforgettable Vespa tour
Picked up from our hotel on a Vespa and whisked away to the river crossing – it felt like island hopping, but in style! 😎 Our first stop was a local convenience store for a couple of beers, where we got to chat with our fantastic guides, Sok and "007". From the very beginning, they made us feel completely at ease. Both Laura and I are in our 40s and had never ridden on a Vespa before, but we felt safe throughout the entire tour. The journey around the islands and mainland was incredible. We visited a local farm where we watched soybeans being transformed into tofu – something I'd never seen before and found absolutely fascinating. We then met a seventh-generation family of traditional silk weavers, who explained the entire silk-making process. Seeing the skill, patience and family knowledge passed down through generations, rather than relying on mass production, was genuinely breathtaking. To top it all off, we learned to cook our own Fish Amok. Chopping fresh ingredients, preparing the fish and even making a banana dessert was such a fun experience. I don't like to boast, but it was honestly the best Fish Amok we'd eaten during our 10 days in Cambodia! 😋 From start to finish, this tour was exceptionally well organised and is something Laura and I will never forget. If you're visiting Phnom Penh and want a unique adventure that combines culture, food and fun, don't hesitate to book this tour. A huge thank you to Sok and 007 for looking after us so well. You made our day unforgettable!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your incredible and heartfelt review! We’re absolutely delighted to hear that you and Laura had such a memorable experience with us. It’s wonderful to know that from the very first Vespa ride and ferry crossing, you felt comfortable, safe, and excited for the adventure ahead. We’re so pleased that you enjoyed every part of the journey—from learning how tofu is traditionally made, to meeting the seventh-generation silk-weaving family and discovering the remarkable craftsmanship that has been passed down through generations. These authentic local experiences are exactly what we love sharing with our guests. We’re especially thrilled that the cooking class was such a highlight, and we have to say—we’re impressed that your homemade Fish Amok earned the title of the best you had during your 10 days in Cambodia! 😊 It’s fantastic that you also enjoyed preparing the traditional banana dessert and experiencing Cambodian cuisine in such a hands-on way. A special thank you for your kind words about Sok and 007. We’ll be sure to share your wonderful feedback with them—they’ll be delighted to know they helped make your day so enjoyable, comfortable, and unforgettable. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience and for recommending our tour to future travelers. It truly means the world to us. We hope to welcome you both back for another unforgettable adventure in Cambodia!

Best experience with local guide
This was one of the best experiences we’ve had on our travels, Mr Friday and Mr Smey took care of us on the back of the Vespas with regular stops around the islands to show us a real local experience. We met lots of people on the way and the cooking class and silk production at the end was a fantastic way to finish the trip. Highly recommend this for anyone in Phnom Penh!

We'd love to share more of our tours with you again in the future. Sincerely yours, Phoe

Great driver, poor supplier
Not the drivers fault make sure he is paid !. Disappointedwirh lack of response from supplier or did not answer messages or telephone calls. Finally got hold of and they did not co.municate with the driver what had been booked. He did his best and allowed me to have a good experience however I was not given the free flow and food as described on the boat trip so was very disappointed with the supplier who do not appear or know what had been booked
Response from the operator: Dear Michelle, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear about the inconvenience you experienced regarding the communication and the inclusions of your booking. This is certainly was happening from our internal hosting email full storage issued data can’t receive any new email notification that’s mad us missing your booking. We’re glad to know that your driver did his best to ensure you still had a pleasant experience, and we truly appreciate your kind understanding toward him. Rest assured, we have addressed this matter with our team to ensure all future bookings are properly communicated and coordinated, so this does not happen again. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and thank you once again for your valuable feedback, which helps us improve our service. Phoe | Operation Team

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Phnom Penh Silk Island Vespa Tour with Cooking Class: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phnom Penh.
How much does Phnom Penh Silk Island Vespa Tour with Cooking Class cost?
+
Prices start at $52 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phnom Penh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Phnom Penh Silk Island Vespa Tour with Cooking Class take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phnom Penh is not rushed.
Is Phnom Penh Silk Island Vespa Tour with Cooking Class worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phnom Penh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Phnom Penh Silk Island Vespa Tour with Cooking Class?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Phnom Penh Silk Island Vespa Tour with Cooking Class suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Phnom Penh Silk Island Vespa Tour with Cooking Class?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phnom Penh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phnom Penh and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Phnom Penh Silk Island Vespa Tour with Cooking Class start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phnom Penh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phnom Penh?
+
On Outty we rank every Phnom Penh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Tuol Sleng S21 and Choeung Ek Killing Field Tour, The Killing Field and Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S21) Tour, Killing field and Toul Sleng genocide museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phnom Penh?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phnom Penh?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
