    Wonderful experience...

Wonderful experience birding with bong Vanna. We took a ferry across the river in the car to farmland and fields of lotus. He had everything for you, very prepared: water, sunblock, hat, binoculars and bug spray. We saw lots of smaller birds and he must have binoc eyes or something because he wasn’t using them and spotted the birds off the distance on a random tree branch. Lunch was provided at a cute resort, food was delicious. He also has camping options not advertised, but can be contacted via WhatsApp. Easy to talk to, quick to respond. My group had an amazing time. He quietly took candid pictures for us and sent them over. Appreciate his preparedness, communication, knowledge and friendliness.

Wonderful morning's birding with Vana Adventure Travel

My parents and I enjoyed a half day tour with Mon and Thong and I am happy to say that they were fantastic!! Both Mon and Thong are experienced guides and with their help I was able to see over 30 species (including 10 new ones for me) across the lotus fields and forest habitats, with particular highlights including black-winged kite and the Cambodian tailorbird. My parents and I especially appreciated having breakfast under a canopy in the lotus fields, which allowed us to not only look for birds but also appreciate the beautiful natural scenery. I would happily recommend these two guides to anyone looking for a trip out of the city to see the countryside and birds during their visit to Phnom Penh.

Response from the operator: Thanks for your give us a great reviews and recommend this birding trip to the travelers who come to visit Cambodia or Phnom Penh. We do believe, this is a great part to help us to get more experience, knowledge and more benefits to the locals Thanks again and have a great day

    Unmissable!

This experience was truly fantastic, and I already want to return so I can do it again! Communication to organise pickup was very helpful, and we were greeted by two super friendly and helpful guides. Massive credit to Thom and Sam - these guys made the day so much fun and we shared a lot of laughs. The birdwatching itself was incredible, I think we saw at least 40-50 different species. Most were at the wetland site and some in the forest. Our guides were super knowledgeable and great communicators, giving us a lot of insight on the birds, habitat, farming practices and local communities. Breakfast of local food and coffee was included and was soooo delicious, and the car we drove between sites in was really comfortable too. We felt really lucky to be able to experience this tour, can't recommend highly enough.

    A fine birding experience

The morning started with an early morning pickup from the hotel. First stop, a latte and bird watching from the cafe deck. The guide Thong is fun and very knowledgeable. We had multiple stops with walks beside Lotus fields and forests, spotting over 30 species of birds. The brunch that ended the trip was great. A very good experience!

Phnom Penh Birding Experience and Brunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phnom Penh.

How much does Phnom Penh Birding Experience and Brunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phnom Penh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Phnom Penh Birding Experience and Brunch take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phnom Penh is not rushed.

Is Phnom Penh Birding Experience and Brunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phnom Penh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Phnom Penh Birding Experience and Brunch?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Phnom Penh Birding Experience and Brunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Phnom Penh Birding Experience and Brunch?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phnom Penh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phnom Penh and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Phnom Penh Birding Experience and Brunch start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phnom Penh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phnom Penh?

    +

On Outty we rank every Phnom Penh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Tuol Sleng S21 and Choeung Ek Killing Field Tour, The Killing Field and Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S21) Tour, Killing field and Toul Sleng genocide museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phnom Penh?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phnom Penh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
