Nasty food, almost no time in the water.

Don’t bother! You’ll spend 5+ hours in the ferry and only 45 minutes in the water. The equipment they provide will be faulty and useless, and the lunch provided is nasty. There really is no experience to be had with this tour. And they made us head back at 2:00p, when I was expecting to spend the day on Phi Phi. I didn’t even get to see the island outside of the crappy hotel where they served us lunch. I wish I didn’t waste my day riding in a stinky ferry, because that’s what this excursion consisted of. Save your money and organize a couple days in Phi Phi on your own.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience fell far short of your expectations. We regret that you felt there was too much time spent on the ferry and too little time enjoying the water and exploring Phi Phi. Your comments about the snorkeling equipment and the quality of the lunch are very concerning, and we will review these issues urgently with our team and partners to ensure improvements are made. We also apologize for the early return time, which clearly did not match your expectations for a full-day experience on Phi Phi. Transparency and delivering the experiences we promise are extremely important to us. We’re very sorry that this excursion felt like a waste of your day and money. Thank you again for your honest feedback—it helps us identify where we need to do better. We hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future to provide you with a more enjoyable experience. Best regards, Oh Hoo Travel

Choose other tours instead

I regret for not choosing other tours and having wasted one previous day during our Phuket visit with this tour. 1) the night before the tour, the tour operator asked us to pay hotel transportation fee or they will cancel the tour. At that time we were not able to book an alternative for the next day so we had to bite the bullet. Had they contacted us sooner we would have avoided this disastrous tour. 2) the ferry is shared by tons of people from different tours and transits. We were constantly transferring ferries/boats like a herd of cattle. Most of the time was wasted on loading/unloading a ton of passengers and their luggages. 3) We were basically taken to the phi phi island, ate a lunch there and then taken back to Phuket. The maya bay visit was a brief one minute stop over from afar which is laughable. 4) no tour guide. I don’t even know who to speak to. 5) our paid hotel transfer was also the worst. The driver detoured to patong beach at peak hour to pick up his kid and we were stuck in traffic jam for an hour at patong beach when we were starving. It was eight when we arrived at our hotel. 6) we were given 25 minutes to visit the Phi Phi town. Considering the loading/unloading, we would only have 15 minutes and each person was charged 20THB to enter the town. Why stop by the town when we obviously had not enough time and not give the time to the more worthy places? Is it because each passenger needs to pay 20THB to enter the town? I recommend anyone to run from this tour as it will surely be your worst experience of your Phuket vacation.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to provide detailed feedback on your experience with the tour in Phuket. We sincerely apologize for the numerous issues you encountered and understand how frustrating this must have been. Your comments are invaluable as they help us to scrutinize and improve our tours and collaborations with operators. We will address each point you've raised, ensuring better organization and transparency in the future. We appreciate your honesty and hope to regain your trust. Warm regards, Oh-Hoo Team

Great views of Phi Phi Leh and Phi Phi Don

I opted for the Phi Phi Cruiser to have a better overview and it was the right choice. The smaller boats were sailing in the proximity and the islands and the majority had a roof, so the views were probably not the best. On the Phi Phi Cruiser one had a great panoramic view from the upper deck, with no obstacles in front or above. Soft drinks, coffee and snacks were available on the lower deck. Lunch at Phi Phi Hotel on Phi Phi Don, with traditional Thai dishes. Plenty of employees at the Rassada Harbour and on the ferry to guide us through the boarding process and the programme upon arriving at Phi Phi Don.

A relaxing way to get to the islands.

A good option if you want to see around Phi Phi without going on a speed boat. It is a long day, but the ferry is comfortable, clean with a good selection of drinks and snacks. Beautiful views and a relaxing journey (we had good weather). The long tail boat then collects you to take you to Maya Island and some snorkeling spots. The kids loved the long tail boat even when it got a bit bumpy. Very busy area, and you don't get to look at anywhere for too long with only a short amount of time to snorkel - but it's still worth it. Lunch was excellent. Staff went out of their way to be helpful.

Phi Phi Islands Snorkeling Tour By Phi Phi Cruiser From Phuket: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.

How much does Phi Phi Islands Snorkeling Tour By Phi Phi Cruiser From Phuket cost?

+

Prices start at $1610 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Phi Phi Islands Snorkeling Tour By Phi Phi Cruiser From Phuket take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.

Is Phi Phi Islands Snorkeling Tour By Phi Phi Cruiser From Phuket worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Phi Phi Islands Snorkeling Tour By Phi Phi Cruiser From Phuket?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Phi Phi Islands Snorkeling Tour By Phi Phi Cruiser From Phuket suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Phi Phi Islands Snorkeling Tour By Phi Phi Cruiser From Phuket?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Phi Phi Islands Snorkeling Tour By Phi Phi Cruiser From Phuket start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phuket?

+

On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phuket?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phuket?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
