An Amazing experience.
It was an amazing experience to see the outer islands from Phuket, do snorkeling, go swimming & stroll on the beach. We had a great quality meal which was included in the cost. The guide was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour, The crew were so helpful and supportive in helping my wife and I on and off the boat and looking after us when on board. Well worth every cent.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you had such an amazing time exploring the islands, snorkeling, and enjoying the meal. Our crew and guide will be so happy to hear your kind words—they always do their best to make sure our guests feel safe, supported, and well looked after. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you and your wife back on board for another memorable day out! 🛥️🏝️✨

Overcrowded Speed Boat and Islands
This tour did not meet my expectations after reading all the wonderful reviews. They packed 47 people onto a speedboat that was suitable for 40 people at the most. Snorkeling was confined to a very small area behind the boat and was below average. The islands themselves were beautiful, but teeming with tourists and it was difficult to enjoy the natural beauty.
Response from the operator: We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Please note that the Phi Phi Islands are one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, so it is completely natural for the area to be crowded and unfortunately this is beyond our control. Additionally, according to Thai maritime regulations, it is not permitted to load a boat beyond its approved capacity. Our speedboat has an official capacity of 49 passengers, and the number of guests on board was within this limit.

Our trip was OK, but not great
Our tour guide was OK but not great. We did not have enough time at each stop and felt like we were being run from place to place . The places we went were very beautiful and unique. The lunch was not good and the restroom facilities at the dining area are definitely not great. Many people got sick on the speed boat from the waves.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re glad to hear that you found the places beautiful and unique. We’re sorry that some parts of the experience, like the timing at the stops and the lunch, did not meet your expectations. Your comments are very important to us and we will definitely take them into consideration to improve our tours. We also understand that the sea can sometimes be rough, which may cause discomfort during the speedboat ride.

Amazing guided tour
The staff were very friendly and did a great job. Our guide was funny and full of life. They know the bigger island (phi phi don) is expensive, and they do warn you about this and to buy things on the mainland. The beaches they take you to are out of this world, very beautiful. There's no swimming in Maya Bay, though they take you snorkelling (or diving depending on what you want to do) in two places. Keep in mind that if you want to go see the james bond beaches, you MUST rent a longtail boat. Lunch was good, a good variety to chose from. They finish the trip by taking you to an island full of bars and jet skis. Needed after the long day under the sun. Best thing I've done in Phuket
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the trip and that our staff and guide helped make the experience fun and memorable. It’s great to know you loved the beautiful beaches, snorkeling spots, and the overall program of the day. We always try our best to give our guests a full and enjoyable experience. Thank you again for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the future!

Great value fun trip!
Great trip. Staff very attentive and just the right amount of time in each place. We really enjoyed it as a great way to see the main sights. We were worried it might be bumpy and wet but it was absolutely fine for. Great value too
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the trip and felt the timing at each stop was just right. It’s great to know the boat ride was comfortable for you and that you found the tour to be a great way to see the main sights. We truly appreciate your feedback and are glad you felt it was great value. We hope to welcome you again on another trip in the future!

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Phi Phi Islands Speedboat Tour: Khai & Maya: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.
How much does Phi Phi Islands Speedboat Tour: Khai & Maya cost?
+
Prices start at $1486 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Phi Phi Islands Speedboat Tour: Khai & Maya take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.
Is Phi Phi Islands Speedboat Tour: Khai & Maya worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Phi Phi Islands Speedboat Tour: Khai & Maya?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Phi Phi Islands Speedboat Tour: Khai & Maya suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Phi Phi Islands Speedboat Tour: Khai & Maya?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Phi Phi Islands Speedboat Tour: Khai & Maya start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phuket?
+
On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phuket?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phuket?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
