Second time was not a charm…
This is the second time that I have been on this trip. The first was with a different company. The trip to and between the islands was very very bumpy and several passengers got sick. This was not the company ‘s fault however, this wasn’t my experience the first time I went. What I didn’t like was the island that we ate at. When I went the first time the island had beautiful trees and a barbecue going for the guests. This time it was a sit down kinda buffet that you were rushed through, a definitely more commercialized experience. Also the last island which was for swimming we were accosted by persons the literal second we got off the boat to buy stuff and the water was full of rocks and the water rough. All in all the experience was just ok - some of the things just couldn’t be helped but because I have been before, the comparison between both experiences was noticeable. The islands we visited were beautiful though and the guide and crew did their best to make the trip safe.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found the islands beautiful and that our guide and crew did their best to keep everyone safe and comfortable. We’re sorry that this experience did not match your first visit. We understand how noticeable the differences can be when you return to the same destination, especially when the island setup, meal service, and swimming conditions have changed. Unfortunately, rough sea conditions and weather can sometimes make the journey uncomfortable, and we truly appreciate your understanding that these conditions were beyond our control. We also understand your concerns about the meal experience and the vendors at the swimming stop. Your comments are valuable, and we’ll share this feedback with our local team as we continue working to improve the overall experience. Thank you again for choosing us and for recognizing the efforts of our guide and crew. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a smoother and more enjoyable experience in the future.

A great day out
We enjoyed this trip to three of the Phi Phi Islands. The 1 hour boat trip each way was long but very enjoyable and the locations visited were excellent.

Two thumbs up
It was great overall we just didn’t go on the monkey beach that was disappointing but besides that and being a bit over crowded it was a good experience.

The best trip in Phuket
This is absolutely the best excursion in Phuket we ever had and the crew went above and beyond to make it memorable for my family and everyone else. We visited amazing islands, and Moss tour guide was providing great advice so we felt very well looked after. We snorkelled, had fantastic lunch, delicious fresh fruits, drinks, biscuits… Crew was at every step with us, were helping us with family pics on a boat or while snorkelling, etc. all included. Very well organised trip, which deserves five stars.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Phi Phi Island Viking Cave Monkey Beach Khai Island Tour from Phuket: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.
How much does Phi Phi Island Viking Cave Monkey Beach Khai Island Tour from Phuket cost?
+
Prices start at $56 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Phi Phi Island Viking Cave Monkey Beach Khai Island Tour from Phuket take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.
Is Phi Phi Island Viking Cave Monkey Beach Khai Island Tour from Phuket worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Phi Phi Island Viking Cave Monkey Beach Khai Island Tour from Phuket?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Phi Phi Island Viking Cave Monkey Beach Khai Island Tour from Phuket suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Phi Phi Island Viking Cave Monkey Beach Khai Island Tour from Phuket?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Phi Phi Island Viking Cave Monkey Beach Khai Island Tour from Phuket start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phuket?
+
On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phuket?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phuket?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
