What you'll see and do
Petra
Petra, the Rose-Red City, was the impressive capital of the Nabataean kingdom whose ruins remained hidden to most of the world until the Swiss explorer, JL Burckhardt, disguised as an Arab scholar, infiltrated the city in 1812. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Meet your private guide at the site and hike or ride a horse down to the entrance of the Siq, a long, winding sandstone canyon that leads to the Treasury. The tour continues to the Street of Facades, the Roman Theater and the Royal Tombs.

Petra, the Pink Lake, and two people who made the day special
We came to Jordan excited to see Petra, but we honestly didn’t expect the whole experience to be this memorable. Nael, our driver, was fantastic from beginning to end. He was friendly, patient, professional, and always one step ahead of what we needed. Even with a full day of traveling, everything felt relaxed and comfortable. At Petra, Jamal, our guide, completely changed the way we experienced the site. His stories and explanations made the ancient city feel alive. You could tell immediately that he wasn't just repeating facts — he genuinely loves the history and wanted us to understand what made Petra so special. After Petra, visiting the Pink Lake was the perfect surprise. The colors, landscape, and peaceful atmosphere were something we had never experienced before. It was one of those places where you simply stop, look around, and think, “Wow, we actually made it here.” What made this day different wasn't only the places we visited. It was the people behind the experience. Nael and Jamal were kind, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great day. We left Jordan with hundreds of photos, but more importantly, with one incredible memory that we'll carry with us for a long time. Thank you, Nael and Jamal — you made our Petra and Pink Lake day truly unforgettable!
