Phenomenal Guide—Highly Recommend Borith!

We had an absolutely phenomenal experience touring Angkor Wat with our guide, Borith! We had a very short window of time to see the temples, but Borith made every minute count. He planned our time incredibly well and made sure we experienced as much as possible without ever feeling rushed. We have lived in for over 20 years, and by far, he has been our best guide to the temples. My teenager kids loved Borith's style of guiding. Borith was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of Cambodia. His explanations brought the temples and their stories to life, and he answered all of our questions with enthusiasm and patience. He went above and beyond to make our limited time truly worthwhile and memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide! We highly recommend Borith to anyone visiting Angkor Wat.His expertise, organization, and genuine care made our experience unforgettable. Thank you, Borith, for an incredible tour!

Breathtaking sunrise tour

Our sunrise tour to Angkor Wat was absolutely sensational. Our guide Veasna was so friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about Cambodian history. He was great at finding quiet spots to talk and interesting things to point out. We never went with the crowds, which we loved. He made it so personal and answered all of our questions. The temples themselves are stunning. Seeing Angkor Wat at sunrise was so tranquil. The tuktuk was always waiting to pick us up, and our driver Marco was the best. He always asked us how we were, how the temple was and provided us with cold water and cold face towels. I highly highly recommend this tour if you love history. This company is expert at what they do.

Day one Angkor Wat sunrise via glam TukTuk and temples tour left at 5 back by lunch amazing tour and knowledge. Day 2 trip up through the national park to see the reclining Buddha via beautiful mini van air conditioning cold towels and water provided. We had pandan cakes saw villages and also swam in a beautiful waterfall - don’t procrastinate this is the tour to do if you want to experience Siem Reap 😊

Angkor Wat sunrise and Kulen Mountain

We were in Cambodia as part of our honeymoon and decided to go for a private tour of both Angkor Wat at sunrise and the Phnomn Kulen Mountain. I found Lao and his company Cambodia Overland Travel on TikTok and reached out, with Lao responding really promptly and sending over a fantastic suggested itinerary for our few days in Siem Reap. We were delayed by a day getting there due a missed flight connection, and Lao was really flexible moving our Angkor Wat tour to another day. He connected us to our tour guide Sopheak who was with us for both trips - a truly lovely man who made our experience a pleasure. It was brilliant to do the Angkor Wat and temples tour with a private guide as not only can you do things more at your own pace but you also essentially get your own photographer - and one who knows the best spots - when you’re on honeymoon that means a lot to have a lot fantastic photos you can treasure forever! The tuk tuk driver was great and always ready with a cold towel and water upon return! It was nice to have a coffee stop too at a local place that was included in our tour. The Kulen mountain trip was a also a real highlight - and again we were so lucky being on a private tour as a couple that we basically had the waterfall to ourselves when we visited for a good 45 mins (before a group turned up!) and that was an amazing experience that you can’t put a price on and I’ll always remember. The car for the mountain trip was really luxurious and well air conditioned, the driver again was great and always offering us refreshments and towels. I will just add that due to the great car experience we did decide to book an airport return with them, and were told that it would be the same car and driver. This wasn’t the case, and the car that ended up taking us wasn’t the same quality and was also extremely hot for most of the hour long drive, with the air con taking a long time to kick in. Not sure if there was a miscommunication or what happened there but we were a bit disappointed by that. Nevertheless we had a fantastic experience with Cambodia Overland Travel and would definitely recommend booking them for your trips in Siem Reap!

Personalised Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour by TukTuk: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does Personalised Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour by TukTuk cost?

+

Prices start at $18 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Personalised Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour by TukTuk take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is Personalised Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour by TukTuk worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Personalised Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour by TukTuk?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Personalised Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour by TukTuk suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Personalised Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour by TukTuk?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Personalised Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour by TukTuk start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
