Awesome tour in Lisbon.

We had an amazing tour with Andre. He was truly one of the best tour guides we have ever had and by the end of the day we felt like family! As soon as we got into his vehicle, he took down the headrest on the passenger side so we could see better. We have been on a LOT of private tours and have NEVER seen that done before. Secondly, he immediately shared his plans with us for the day and was willing to tweak anything if we wanted. His English, also, was beyond good. We were so impressed at his understanding of America and American culture. Lastly, he is a great teacher. He shares information in a fun way that is engaging and helps you remember. We will recommend him to all of our friends and we will absolutely be using him again! You should, too. You can thank me later! He Is the best!

Response from the operator: Dear Glenn and Miriam, it was a true pleasure spending the day with you showing you 'my' beautiful Lisbon. Thank you for your kind and warmfull review. Hope to see you soon.

A must see inside the Cloisters, and Monestary.

Obidos Monestary, is a real Wonder!! It is extremely big. It’s amazing to think how such a building could have been built hundreds of years ago. The area around it is very pretty. With cafes and restaurants. I have visited the monestary before. And if l am in the area again, l will visit again. I am in genuine Awe of the Monestary. A must see!!

Would highly recommend this tour to visit the nearby villages and coastline.

A perfect way to see the beautiful coastline and charming villages of Peniche, Nazare’ and Obidos. Our guide, Andre’ was very professional, accommodating and knowledgeable about Portugal and the villages.

Some of Portugal's best - Experience Of A Lifetime!

The highlight of my trip to Portugal was the tour with Andre! I visited Fatima (a spectacular and singularly spiritual experience like no other), Obidos, Nazaré, the annual Chocolate Fair, savored the rich flavors of Portugal at a wonderful out-of-the-way restaurant, absorbed the local history of each, and was left wanting more after the tour was completed. Through it all, Andre was professional and so knowledgeable. His itinerary was perfectly timed and my friends and I had sufficient time to explore, ask questions, and immerse ourselves in the richness of each location that we visited. If you take this tour, you will get to experience as much of Portugal locals as you possibly can within an 8 hour period and you’ll not be disappointed, especially if Andre is your tour guide! Having been on many guided tours, I can say without any reservation, that this was the best and Andre was outstanding! I highly recommend Andre and this tour!

A perfect day trip to Nazare

Leave the crowds behind and soak up the charming villages of Nazare and Peniche. Andre, our tour guide shared his love for this part of Portugal and we enjoyed every minute. We mentioned how much we liked the portuguese tiles, and he took us to a place to purchase handmade ones-- even introduced us to the artist. Andre's suggestion for lunch in Peniche, turned out to be one of our favorite meals of the entire trip. I have MS and walk with a cane, so I cannot thank Andre enough for his thoughtful consideration in how he helped us to manage those challenges and adjusted our pace, so that I could enjoy the same activities as my companions. Best tour of our trip, and best guide ever.

Peniche, Nazaré (big waves), Batalha monestary tour and Óbidos: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Peniche, Nazaré (big waves), Batalha monestary tour and Óbidos cost?

+

Prices start at $640 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Peniche, Nazaré (big waves), Batalha monestary tour and Óbidos take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Peniche, Nazaré (big waves), Batalha monestary tour and Óbidos worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Peniche, Nazaré (big waves), Batalha monestary tour and Óbidos?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Peniche, Nazaré (big waves), Batalha monestary tour and Óbidos suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Peniche, Nazaré (big waves), Batalha monestary tour and Óbidos?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Peniche, Nazaré (big waves), Batalha monestary tour and Óbidos start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

+

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
