    Fun day at Peanut Island

I would definitely do more often. This experience was a fun day in the sun. My sister in law was visiting from Massachusetts.

    Not really a tour

I had previously done the shuttle to Peanut Island, so when my friend was in town I was looking forward to the extras that this tour seemed to offer. The price difference is substantial compared to the shuttle option with a different vendor. The meeting spot was easy to find. The boat is a great size -- not too huge. From the beginning, though, it was a strange experience. We boarded the boat and the captain said absolutely nothing to the passengers. He didn't introduce himself, nor did he say a single word as he drove us to the island. I felt like I had entered someone's house and they ignored me. The assistant was a bit friendlier, but not enough to help create a fun vibe. This is described as a tour, but it was really just a shuttle to one spot. They had just 4 paddle boards for the group to share. We had more than 20 people on the boat. It would have been great to also have some noodles or other toys to float on. They did have some snorkels and masks to share. We received zero information about the island.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re disappointed to hear that the experience didn’t match your expectations. We’ve taken more than 7,000 guests out to Peanut Island and are fortunate to have overwhelmingly 5-star reviews, but sometimes we miss the mark, and it sounds like we did here. Our Peanut Island trip is intended to be more than just transportation, and our crew should absolutely be welcoming guests aboard, introducing themselves, explaining what to expect, and providing information about Peanut Island. That level of interaction is part of the experience we expect our captains and crew to provide, and we’ll be addressing this with the team. We do provide paddleboards and snorkel equipment as included amenities, although they are shared among guests rather than one per passenger. That said, your suggestion about adding additional floats or water toys is a good one and something we’ll consider. We appreciate the candid feedback. It helps us identify where an otherwise good trip can fall short, and we’ll use it to improve the experience for future guests

Peanut Island Sandbar and Swim Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for West Palm Beach.

How much does Peanut Island Sandbar and Swim Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in West Palm Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Peanut Island Sandbar and Swim Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in West Palm Beach is not rushed.

Is Peanut Island Sandbar and Swim Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 87 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in West Palm Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Peanut Island Sandbar and Swim Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Peanut Island Sandbar and Swim Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Peanut Island Sandbar and Swim Tour?

    +

Around 30 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in West Palm Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in West Palm Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Peanut Island Sandbar and Swim Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central West Palm Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in West Palm Beach?

    +

West Palm Beach mixes coastal boat tours and jet ski runs on the Intracoastal with Everglades airboat trips, Palm Beach mansion cruises and day trips to Peanut Island. On Outty we rank every West Palm Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Snorkel Tour Phil Foster Park (HIGH TIDE ONLY-FREE VIDEOS), Downtown West Palm Beach Food Tour, Paddle Boarding Eco Adventure Tour Jupiter Florida - Singer Island. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit West Palm Beach?

    +

November to April, the dry season along the Atlantic coast. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in West Palm Beach?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
