    Disappointing Tour (Don’t do it!!!)

Horrible experience. When boarding the bus you have tourists trying to cut in front. The cobblestones at the palace are hard to work on. Not for people with limited mobility. Also, people crowd in front and hog the seats hours before the night show. The tour was boring at first because you are just walking around for the first couple of hours. There is no fountain show in the gardens as expected. The show is in one garden where everyone crowds around and makes it hard to see. And it’s the same show until the fireworks at the end, which is only 15 minutes. My husband and I wanted to leave within an hour and a half after arriving due to the boring tour. Don’t book this tour!!!

Paris Tootbus Hop on Hop off tour and Versailles Palace entrance

Disappointing experience with Viator and Tootbus Our experience with this tour was extremely frustrating due to missing and unclear information in the email provided by Viator. The email did not include clear details about the pick-up location for the bus to the Palace of Versailles. We assumed the location would be provided at our initial pick-up point. However, when we arrived at the bus stop, we were told that we needed to go to a different stop to catch the bus to Versailles. By the time we reached the correct stop, we were told that we had missed the bus. We contacted Tootbus, but they would not accommodate us and instead told us that we would need to take an Uber or taxi to Versailles. I showed the Viator confirmation email to the Tootbus representative, who also could not find any information in the email indicating where we were supposed to catch the Versailles bus. The representative acknowledged that the situation appeared to be caused by missing information and told us that we should be compensated for the taxi fare. They also said they would notify Viator about what had happened. Unfortunately, I have not heard back from either Viator or Tootbus regarding the incident or reimbursement. This was a very disappointing experience. We relied on the information provided by Viator, and the lack of essential pick-up details resulted in unnecessary confusion, additional expense, and ultimately missing the transportation we had paid for. I hope Viator will review what happened and provide appropriate compensation for the taxi expense.

We were left behind at Versailles.

Horrible experience. We were at the pickup point at the correct time to depart and were left behind. Company was unhelpful and unapologetic. We had to get a taxi back to Paris.

    Just ok

The trip to and from Versailles was OK. Would have expected the driver or staff to inform us of what the history was. The redevouz pick up was a fiasco, unclear instructions and not timely. The audio portion was not well displayed so often missing and confusing. Overall just ok!

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience to Versailles didn’t meet expectations, especially regarding the historical information and the pick-up process. We’ll work on improving these aspects for the future. We hope to provide a better experience next time. Kind regards,

Paris Tootbus Hop-On Hop-Off Tour and Versailles Pass & Transfer: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.

How much does Paris Tootbus Hop-On Hop-Off Tour and Versailles Pass & Transfer cost?

    +

Prices start at $72 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Paris Tootbus Hop-On Hop-Off Tour and Versailles Pass & Transfer take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.

Is Paris Tootbus Hop-On Hop-Off Tour and Versailles Pass & Transfer worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 36 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (2.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Paris Tootbus Hop-On Hop-Off Tour and Versailles Pass & Transfer?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Paris Tootbus Hop-On Hop-Off Tour and Versailles Pass & Transfer suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Paris Tootbus Hop-On Hop-Off Tour and Versailles Pass & Transfer?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Paris Tootbus Hop-On Hop-Off Tour and Versailles Pass & Transfer start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Paris?

    +

Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

    +

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
