About this experience

Held in one of Paris’s trendiest neighborhoods, Les Batignolles, this is not just a hands-on cooking class but a fully immersive culinary experience led by a former Cordon Bleu instructor. Unlike many Parisian workshops that emphasize demonstrations, this hands-on class ensures every guest actively participates in preparing each dish from start to finish. With a maximum of six participants, the intimate setting allows for personalized guidance, making it ideal for mastering authentic techniques. While the focus is on classic French cuisine, guests can also explore Colombian or Asian flavors upon request. After cooking, guests sit together to enjoy the gourmet meal they have created. Each participant leaves with a deeper culinary understanding, a certificate of accomplishment, and a cookbook featuring all the class recipes. This class is for person aged 16 and older. No children please.

Chef Catalina

I’m not sure where to start. We had the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. Chef Catalina is a kick ass Chef. Chef Catalina is knowledgeable, passionate and most of all knows her stuff. Chef Catalina from the moment we arrived made my wife and I feel welcomed. Chef Catalina gave us real world practical cooking tips & skills to take back home with us. Chef even helped my wife and I understand how to prepare meals together. AKA co-exist in the kitchen. 😂. Chef Catalina cooks clean, keeps her kitchen and equipment clean throughout the experience. The food we prepared was AMAZING and we also learned the why behind the ingredients that we used. As a lifelong restaurateur I am just totally in awe of our experience. Huge shout out to Brian. YOU ARE THE MAN. Lastly Lola is an awesome well behaved fur baby. In closing I want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts to you Brian and Lola for welcoming Kim and I into your home and helping us to leave better cooks. We consider us family now. Lastly anyone considering a cooking class when visiting Paris look no further than Chef Catalina. Humbly Phillip & Kim San Francisco Ca

Great cooking experience- wish we’d learned the knife skills decades ago!

Such an enjoyable day. Catalina and her husband Brian welcomed us into their home - even to the extent of sourcing the music and beverages we would enjoy. Catalina taught us good knife skills - which we did NOT have already, and shared all sorts of professional kitchen wisdom. We prepared food I would have thought too tricky, and we enjoyed flavours that one of us would have resisted trying. Highly recommended. Very keen to return for another class next time we see in Paris. Thank you Catalina!

10/10 recommend

Chef Catalina's small group cooking class was a true highlight of our trip. It was a special afternoon spent in her cozy kitchen. The class was personal, instructive, engaging and FUN! There were 4 of us in our group and she made the afternoon such a treat. We've even applied our lessons and recipes since we've been home. We were there on my husband's birthday and she made it a memorable day. 10/10 recommend and would definitely go back.

Book your class, you won't regret it!

This cooking class with Chef Catalina was truly amazing. I am a vegetarian and Chef Catalina has been able to accomadate my needs while the other women in the class were meat eaters. she accommodated both all of our needs well. I cook a lot at home and have taken many cooking classes throughout my travels. Lately, I have found it difficult to be inspired by cooking classes, but this class really focused of technique rather than the recipes. I have cooked the meal i learned to make for my in-laws and they absolutely loved it. This is a meal i plan on cooking a lot more for my family. I would recommend this class to people who are wanting to cook at home and want to update their skills. It's a class that teaches useful life skills :) From knife holding to learning about ingredient's, this class was great. Thank you Catalina!

Paris Small Group Hands-On Cooking Class with Cordon Bleu Chef: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.

How much does Paris Small Group Hands-On Cooking Class with Cordon Bleu Chef cost?

+

Prices start at $200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Paris Small Group Hands-On Cooking Class with Cordon Bleu Chef take?

+

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.

Is Paris Small Group Hands-On Cooking Class with Cordon Bleu Chef worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 120 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Paris Small Group Hands-On Cooking Class with Cordon Bleu Chef?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Paris Small Group Hands-On Cooking Class with Cordon Bleu Chef suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3.5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Paris Small Group Hands-On Cooking Class with Cordon Bleu Chef?

+

Around 42 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Paris Small Group Hands-On Cooking Class with Cordon Bleu Chef start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Paris?

+

Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

+

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
