What you'll see and do

  1. Pont Neuf

Start your evening at Vert-Galant Square, the tiny park at the tip of the Île de la Cité, just under Pont Neuf. From the statue of Henri IV in the middle of the bridge, walk down the stairs to the riverbank where your boat is waiting.

    Pass by without stopping

  2. Ile de la Cite

As you leave Pont Neuf, you circle Île de la Cité, where Paris was born. From the water you can see the medieval towers of the Conciergerie, the Courthouse and the elegant riverfront façades – like sailing around an open-air history book.

    Pass by without stopping

  3. Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris

Gliding along the south bank of the island, you’ll enjoy a clear, unobstructed view of Notre-Dame Cathedral. Even under restoration, its flying buttresses and towers are one of the most powerful symbols of Paris, and the river is the perfect place for photos away from the crowds.

    Pass by without stopping

  4. Ile Saint-Louis

The cruise continues past Île Saint-Louis, lined with 17th-century mansions and calm quays. This is one of the most romantic corners of Paris: warm apartment windows, tiny balconies and reflections of the façades in the Seine.

    Pass by without stopping

  5. Hotel de Ville

Sailing back towards the Right Bank, you pass the ornate Hôtel de Ville (City Hall) and the lively riverside promenades. Here you really feel local life along the Seine, with people strolling, chatting and enjoying the evening by the water.

    Pass by without stopping

  6. Louvre Museum

Further west, the immense façade of the Louvre stretches along the river, facing the domed French Institute on the Left Bank. Between them, the Pont des Arts footbridge offers one of the best viewpoints in Paris – from the boat you can see all three in a single glance.

    Pass by without stopping

  7. Musee d'Orsay

On one side of the boat you’ll see the former railway station that is now the Orsay Museum; on the other, the gardens of the Tuileries and the obelisk of Place de la Concorde in the distance. This stretch feels like cruising through a postcard, especially at sunset when the sky turns pink behind the monuments.

    Pass by without stopping

  8. Pont Alexandre III

You then pass under Pont Alexandre III, one of the most beautiful bridges in Paris with its golden statues and Art Nouveau lamps. Nearby you’ll see the glass roof of the Grand Palais and, on the Left Bank, the golden dome of Les Invalides, where Napoleon is buried.

    Pass by without stopping

  9. Eiffel Tower

As the boat heads further west, the Eiffel Tower comes into full view, rising above the Trocadéro and the Champ de Mars. In the evening she is lit up, and if you’re there at the right time, you’ll see her sparkling – the moment everyone waits for, with Champagne glasses raised and cameras ready.

    Pass by without stopping

  10. Pont Neuf

On the way back, enjoy a final drink and a last look at Paris’s bridges and monuments reflected in the water. The cruise ends back at du Vert-Galant Square , just a short walk from the lively cafés and restaurants of the Latin Quarter and Saint-Germain, perfect to continue your evening.

Wonderful experience

This was a wonderful cruise along the seine with a glass of bubbly! 1 hour was the perfect amount of time to spend on the boat sight seeing. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a good view of the Eiffel Tower.

Start your Paris vacation with this cruise!!!!

This is a MUST DO!!! We booked our experience for the same day we arrived and it was the perfect introduction to the city -- glass of champagne in hand while we saw the beauty of Paris and learned a little bit at the same time.

Overall, we enjoyed this...

Overall, we enjoyed this cruise. But have two things that could have been improved. 1. When the cruise is oversold to exceed the number of seats up top, there should be strictly communicated rules against seat saving. People were trying to lay claim over entire rows of empty seats, and were being very aggressive about it. My daughter calls them "Karens". But the boat company should be communicating to them that they can't save seats, and they should have someone up there enforcing that. I chose to move to the bottom rather than risk a fight with an extremely aggressive one. Which is a bummer because there were enough seats for all of those who were moving directly up there to get one, and we arrived early and paid the same ticket price as whoever she was "saving" them for. 2. We wish it would have been timed to pass the Eiffel tower when sparkling. It missed it by 5 minutes.

Paris Seine River Sunset & Evening Champagne Cruises: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.

How much does Paris Seine River Sunset & Evening Champagne Cruises cost?

+

Prices start at $27 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Paris Seine River Sunset & Evening Champagne Cruises take?

+

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.

Is Paris Seine River Sunset & Evening Champagne Cruises worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 508 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Paris Seine River Sunset & Evening Champagne Cruises?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Paris Seine River Sunset & Evening Champagne Cruises suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 1-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Paris Seine River Sunset & Evening Champagne Cruises?

+

Around 178 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Paris Seine River Sunset & Evening Champagne Cruises start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Paris?

+

Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

+

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
