Totally not worth the cost. Basically paying for someone to wait in line with you!

We booked a private tour of Paris, hoping to hit all of the major sites (eiffel, latin quarter, St. Chappel, Notre Dame, Montamarte, Arch De Triumph) in a single day. We have done many private tours in our travels, and this did not meet our expectations. The tour is rather expensive and for that kind of price we expected customizations (as promised in email), and for them to arrange everything prebooked so that we could see as much as possible. What it turned out to be, was basically a driver, and a tour guide who waits with you in the non-reservation line for an hour+ in the hot sun. Then they don't even go into the sites that require payment with you! I could have saved 800 euros and booked Uber and paid my own admission to venues and it would have been basically the same experience. For the Eifel tower, they pawned us off onto a different company's group tour, which actually had a great guide. We asked on email to upgrade to the top of the Eifel tower, months before our trip and they didn't arrange it (I could have easily booked it myself as when I sent the request there was plenty of availability, but foolishly assumed they would take care of it, you know because you pay them almost $2000 for a tour...) At St Chappelle, we had to wait over an hour in 36 C sun, while countless tour groups, with real guides went it, along with multiple different pre-arranged timeslots, because as our guide said, they don't prebook tickets. That's totally unacceptable! Ditto for Notre Dame, no special arrangements, just standard queue. We didn't want to do one of the activities and asked on email to swap it out for a catacombs tour, but day of our tour guide was surprised by this and said "ohh those tickets are hard to get, we can't go". The guide himself was nice, but had limited knowledge of most things outside of the Napoleon wars. He also wasn't super engaging with our kids or very fun. We could have overlooked that if they had actually properly arranged tours and did what we asked for.

Response from the operator: You were served by our Mercedes minivan with an experienced driver and our guide David, who has received mostly 5-star reviews. All planned visits were completed and we are pleased that you appreciated the efforts of your guide. Unfortunately, some additional requests could not be accommodated. We also recognize that keeping 4 children of different ages engaged throughout a full day of sightseeing can be challenging. We disagree with several aspects of your account, as the services provided were consistent with the agreed itinerary.

    +

Prices start at $175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Paris Private City tour, Montmartre, Latin Quarter, St.Chapelle take?

Is Paris Private City tour, Montmartre, Latin Quarter, St.Chapelle suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Paris Private City tour, Montmartre, Latin Quarter, St.Chapelle?

    +

Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Paris Private City tour, Montmartre, Latin Quarter, St.Chapelle start and how do I get there?

    +

What are the best things to do in Paris?

    +

Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

    +

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
