The best place for Beginner Scuba Divers!
We had a wonderful time with Scubanana! I went into my OW course with no scuba experience whatsoever and I felt super safe everytime we went into the water. Denise, Cedric and Ryan were all so kind and friendly, especially when I struggled to complete my mask off skills. I was encouraged to get out of my comfort zone but I never felt pressured to do anything I wasn't ready for. They really took the time out for me to overcome my mental blocks and I flourished! I am proud to say I now have the scuba bug and want to do more dives 😁😁 Cedric and Ryan are very chill and knowledgable. You'll have a lot of fun learning and being in the water and you'll forget you're doing an open water course! They even brought GoPros into the water so we could take home memories of our underwater adventures. My partner says the underwater scooters and night dives are a must if you need to do specialty dives for your AOW! Denise was so lovely, always greeting us warmly when we arrived everyday and supported me when I got overwhelmed. I greatly appreciated her kindness! Not to mention that the marine life in Radazul is fantastic! You'll fill your fishy check list no problem! Pufferfish, Ornate wrasse, Octopus, Parrotfish... the list honestly goes on! If you're a beginner and looking to complete your Discovery Scuba Diving course or OW, this is the place to go! Thank you everyone! 🤗🤗🤗🤿🍌🐡🐠🐟

From uncertainty to surety - submerged bubbling joy
The course was a gift from my wife, I was a tiny bit tense regarding the use of snorkel (because of some childhood water trauma), and knowing I would have to take off the mask submerged, switching air, and just inhaling air under water!? Wtf! Not natural. But hey, phenomenal instructors! I was guided very well and taken care of supremely well. Did the exercises once, sometimes several until I got them satisfactorily. Instructors Cedric and Sergio were excellent. Calm and collected at all times. The atmosphere in the shop with the other instructors was very nice, and delightful Denise behind the counter was the smiling boss concierge. I was surprised to see so much sea life, I witnessed trumpet fish, cuttle fish, star fish and even an octopus with a basketball size head! Awesome. I discovered under water joy! Thanks so much, folks!

Excellent, safe and clearly explained training
I booked my open water course with Scubanana in July. I had previous cold water experience training in Scotland but didn’t find the time to get fully qualified before our Tenerife holiday so after looking online Scubanana looked like the best school for me and they did not disappoint. All the instructor staff were amazing especially Marc and they explained everything really well. I felt really safe the whole time I was training which boosted my confidence. The shop and equipment was really nice and clean a nice environment to learn in. I wanted to get certified so that I could propose to my now fiancée who is already an experienced diver so the staff helped me do this on our first dive together after I was certified and filmed it for me which was absolutely amazing. This dive shop is definitely the best choice if you are thinking about learning to dive whilst in Tenerife as I said before I felt really safe the whole time which allowed me to enjoy it so much and as an added bonus they have dogs that come to the shop !

Why this scores 82
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
PADI Open Water Diver Course (OWD) - 2.5 days: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does PADI Open Water Diver Course (OWD) - 2.5 days cost?
+
Prices start at $708 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does PADI Open Water Diver Course (OWD) - 2.5 days take?
+
Plan for about 51 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is PADI Open Water Diver Course (OWD) - 2.5 days worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 103 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule PADI Open Water Diver Course (OWD) - 2.5 days?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is PADI Open Water Diver Course (OWD) - 2.5 days suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 51-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book PADI Open Water Diver Course (OWD) - 2.5 days?
+
Around 36 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 51-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does PADI Open Water Diver Course (OWD) - 2.5 days start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
