Best way to see Deep Ellum

What a fun way to see Deep Ellum! Thanks to Escapely, we got to enjoy not just solving all the fun puzzles, but also to admire the beautiful street murals all over, and to learn about the area's deep history. We spent a super fun afternoon walking all over while enjoy some amazing local food as well!

Clever Use of Deep Ellum and It's Art!

This was such a fun experience! We did it the afternoon after Christmas and it was a great family time out. We found the puzzles to be about the right difficulty - we definitely needed everyone's input to solve them, but they weren't so hard that we got frustrated with the puzzles and with each other. We only had to use hints once! I would definitely do this again in another city given the chance. Definitely worth the time and effort to do. We had 5 people and one just tagging along but not doing the puzzles. I think it took us about 3 hours to complete the mystery (we had to juggling parking limits). I do think Deep Ellum is better in the afternoon versus at night when the crowds come in.

    Highly recommend

This was our first time doing an escape room type experience without being in an actual dedicated room! I loved this, the puzzles, the immersion, and not having a time constraint! My husband and I did this on two separate days while visiting Dallas. This one took us a little over 3 hours, and although we used hints to get us in the right direction, we felt super accomplished after solving the murder. I would highly recommend this to anyone in Dallas or visiting Dallas.

    Nice way to explore an...

Nice way to explore an area and learn about the restaurants and things to do. The puzzles can be challenging but ultimately solvable. It will take the time outlined and more if you stop to eat, drink, etc.

    FANTASTIC!! Loved EVERYTHING about it!

It was PERFECT!!!! We ALL had so much fun and definately got invested in the process! I have done a few different types of things where there was a challenge to be completed or a mystery to be solved over the years. My experience has been 50/ 50. They were either cheesy and overly simple. No challenge at all. Or, there was literally NO POSSIBLE WAY to get to the answer with the information given. Some others I have done were like a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, which was pretty much a Stage Play where at intermission everyone in the audience submitted their answer to who they believed the killer to be but that was the full extent of our participation. This product was a PERFECT blend of solving puzzles AND participating in an additional scavenger hunt ending in a logic problem to solve the MURDER MYSTERY! The difficulty level was also PERFECT! And the hints didnt give away the answers if you had to use them! If you talked it out loud with your teammates you would eventually come to find the answer. The only thing that I dislike about the game is that ONCE YOU'VE PLAYED IT IN YOUR CITY - ITS OVER! But I can see myself planning a fun little girls weekend / road trip if there is a game in a city close enough. And if I find myself traveling to another city in my regular day to day life I can see myself doing a quick check to see if there is a game available there to play while I am there. This providing a product that provides a couple of hours of escapism but more importantly gets us engaging in real life social interactions again!

Outdoor Escape Room in Dallas - Deep Ellum: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dallas.

How much does Outdoor Escape Room in Dallas - Deep Ellum cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dallas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Outdoor Escape Room in Dallas - Deep Ellum take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dallas is not rushed.

Is Outdoor Escape Room in Dallas - Deep Ellum worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Dallas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Outdoor Escape Room in Dallas - Deep Ellum?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Outdoor Escape Room in Dallas - Deep Ellum suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Outdoor Escape Room in Dallas - Deep Ellum?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dallas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dallas and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Outdoor Escape Room in Dallas - Deep Ellum start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dallas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dallas?

    +

Dallas covers JFK and Sixth Floor Museum history tours, Fort Worth Stockyards cattle drives, Deep Ellum food and music walks, and Reunion Tower skyline views. Combined Dallas and Fort Worth tours vary a lot in how much time they actually spend in each. On Outty we rank every Dallas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include JFK Assassination and Museum Tour with Lee Harvey Oswald Rooming House, The Escape Game: Epic 60-Minute Adventures at Grapevine Mills, Dallas Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dallas?

    +

March to May and October to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dallas?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
