Very nice place....

Very nice place. We had lunch in a lovely place, only bothered by a lot of bees. After lunch that ended around 13.30 we should return at 14:00, but we had to wait two more hours, which was not worth it

Ourika tour to do

Great day Supported by Gallouti tour guide Houssain and his driver were great Welcomed to the valley by Hassan very kind helpful and very good guide. Meals on the banks of the river To do because magnificent view it is really worth it But be careful not to ride with children!

Response from the operator: Merci pour votre retour ! Heureux que vous ayez apprécié la beauté de la vallée et l’accompagnement de notre équipe. Nous prenons en compte votre remarque sur le repas. À bientôt pour une nouvelle aventure ! 😊

Unfortunately, too little is learned about Berber culture.

Very touristy , unfortunately! Actually, you are only driven to the shops, where you should then buy the local goods. The restaurants are nicely located, but only offer standard food. Certainly worthwhile if you want to make a nice hike, but otherwise not recommended.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate your perspective and will take it into account. Ourika Valley is a popular spot, especially for its scenic hikes and Berber culture. We hope you still enjoyed some aspects of the trip!

Great day trip

We loved this experience. The riverside restaurants are amazing to see and the food at our restaurant was delicious. We hiked up to the waterfalls. The temperature at this time of year was perfect for hiking. We continued quite far up to where it was a lot quieter and put our feet in the pools. The tour guide was friendly and spoke to us about the local area. We would definitely recommend this experience.

Tourist trap ‘avant la lettre’

We made a day-trip from Marrakech with private driver, for 1200 DHM and he showed us the three valleys. The first two valley were gorgeous and we made two photo-stops. Then we drove into Ourika valley on narrow road which was packed with tourist busses and restaurants along the water. The driver dropped us at uninspiring restaurant along the river for fixed price menu (120 dirham!); food quality was sub-standard: raw meat in tajine, hardly any chicken in chicken tajine. Subsequently, the driver arranged a guide to bring us to the waterfall; the path followed steps uphill along small tourist stalls which was very crowded and dirty. The waterfall itself was surrounded by piles of garbage (such a pity the guides did not care and did not clean it). We decided not to continue visiting the second waterfall and returned to our car. There the guide asked for 20 euro and few min later for 100 dirham. Although in the morning we were tald that everything was included in the tour price we now faced an aggressive guide and driver. They treat tourist badly and they only want to cheat & overcharge tourists as much as they can. So, I recommend avoiding this place.

Ourika Valley Day Trip With Lunch From Marrakech: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does Ourika Valley Day Trip With Lunch From Marrakech cost?

+

Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ourika Valley Day Trip With Lunch From Marrakech take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is Ourika Valley Day Trip With Lunch From Marrakech worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ourika Valley Day Trip With Lunch From Marrakech?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ourika Valley Day Trip With Lunch From Marrakech suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ourika Valley Day Trip With Lunch From Marrakech?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ourika Valley Day Trip With Lunch From Marrakech start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
