A experience not to be missed!
This was definitely one of the highlights of out holiday. Our cabin was large and very well appointed and the boat was a nice size - not too large to feel impersonal. My husband and I only eat vegan food (plant based, no animals) and we were impressed that for lunch and dinner the on-board chefs catered for us individually (not at breakfast but there were a lot of things we could eat and drink).

Great scenery, great food and a lot to do.
We absolutely loved our cruise on the Orchid Trendy. I am glad we did the 3-Day, 2-Night cruise as we had so much we could do. For two and a half days, we never stopped. We kayaked, we visited Viet Hai Village by bicycle and walked through 'Trung Trang Cave' on Cat Ba Island, where we had to wear helmets so as not to damage our heads on the low passageways. We learned to make fresh spring rolls, ate absolutely superb meals, participated in Tai Chi classes, saw wonderful scenery and learned some dragon legends. I was happy that our boat only accommodated about 40 people meaning staff quickly learned who you were.

Enjoyable but proceed with caution
The staff are wonderful but a few issues people need to be aware of: - the cruise ship we were on had a strong smell of chemical fumes including in our room. We were not the only ones bothered by it, and had to keep opening the window to get fresh air into our room. The problem is, sometimes the wind would blow the exhaust fumes from the ship straight back into our window. Many people on the ship were complaining. If you are sensitive to smells, I would avoid. - Advertise as all inclusive, but we were hit with a nasty bill for drinks at the end of the cruise. - Drinks are also about 4-5x the price as normal in Vietnam. Pack your own drinks/food. - Don't pay extra for special stops at caves. If the cave is too crowded, they will simply skip it with no explanation. - Food was hit and miss. Some meals were very good and others no one would touch. Ha Long Bay itself is so beautiful, however our cruise needed to get quite far out to get away from the smog/pollution. The pollution was so bad that close to the port, the islands had an extremely hazy look about them. It is not mist or fog, it is smoke/pollution.

Unforgettable Experience on Orchid Cruise – Halong Bay (3 Days / 2 Nights) from 16 december 2025
Our 3 days / 2 nights cruise on Orchid Cruise in Halong Bay was an absolutely unforgettable experience, one that I would highly recommend without hesitation. The ship is elegant, beautifully maintained and offers spacious, comfortable cabins with breathtaking views of the bay. Every moment on board feels relaxing and refined, providing a perfect balance between comfort and luxury. The itinerary is very well organized and allows you to explore less crowded and truly stunning areas of the bay. The excursions, including kayaking, cave visits and leisure time, are well paced and leave plenty of opportunity to enjoy the scenery and the peaceful cruise experience. The food deserves a special mention: delicious, beautifully presented and plentiful, with an excellent mix of Vietnamese and international cuisine. Every meal was a highlight. A real strength of the cruise is the staff: always friendly, professional and attentive, making guests feel genuinely welcome and well cared for throughout the entire journey. A special mention goes to Ms. Elle, whose warm smile and kindness made this vacation even more unforgettable, together with her colleague Hoang, who was equally attentive and professional. In summary, Orchid Cruise is the perfect choice for experiencing Halong Bay in a relaxed, elegant and authentic way. A truly memorable experience that I would happily repeat. Isabella e Matthias.

Amazing experience on Orchid Cruise
We had the most wonderful experience on this Orchid Classic cruise. Not only did we get a free upgrade to the large suite but the overall ambiance on board was great! The amazing views from our room and the upperdeck were breath taking. What really made the entire stay wonderful was the amazing service and friendliness of the staff! We were greeted by Elle on our first day and she took such good care of us. She even reserved our favourite table for us... a small but incredible thoughtful gesture. Her dedication and professionalism made the entire cruise unforgettable!

Why this scores 75
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Orchid Cruises 3days/2nights For 5 Star All Included: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Orchid Cruises 3days/2nights For 5 Star All Included cost?
+
Prices start at $799 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Orchid Cruises 3days/2nights For 5 Star All Included take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Orchid Cruises 3days/2nights For 5 Star All Included worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 533 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Orchid Cruises 3days/2nights For 5 Star All Included?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Orchid Cruises 3days/2nights For 5 Star All Included suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Orchid Cruises 3days/2nights For 5 Star All Included?
+
Around 187 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Orchid Cruises 3days/2nights For 5 Star All Included start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
