    Great experience, and solid communication

The entire experience was very good all around! Hussein, the driver, made ample stops for food/restrooms/gifts and spoke decent English. The communication with the tour provider was over WhatApp and was very good. No complaints at all, this is the best way I've seen to travel solo to the more remote areas in Morocco.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear that Hussein provided excellent service and that communication was smooth over WhatsApp. It means a lot to us that you had such a positive solo travel experience in Morocco. Safe travels and we hope to see you again! :)

Smooth Booking Experience, But On-the-Ground Coordination Needs Work

We booked a one-way trip from Fez to Merzouga via TripAdvisor, and the booking process was seamless. The person coordinating through WhatsApp was excellent—clear, responsive, and very professional. He gave us great confidence in the arrangement and even helped us later book another leg of our journey from Merzouga to Marrakech. However, the actual experience on the ground could have been much better with clearer communication. The trip was in a shared vehicle with other travelers who had pre-arranged camel rides to a specific desert camp. But none of this was communicated to us in advance. When we arrived in Merzouga, the guide simply told everyone, “This is the last stop—we’re going to get on camels now.” That created a lot of confusion and stress, as we were not booked for a camel ride and were staying at a hotel nearby. There was no explanation or structure provided. I had to connect the driver with my hotel directly to coordinate drop-off, which fortunately worked out—but it shouldn’t have been left up to us to figure out logistics at the last minute. This could easily be improved by setting expectations ahead of time—explaining who is going where, who is handling what, and what the last part of the journey will look like for each traveler. With more organized communication between the driver, guide, and passengers, this would have been a much smoother and less stressful experience. That said, the transportation itself was timely and comfortable, and the support during the booking stage was excellent.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear the booking process and communication beforehand met your expectations. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and lack of clear coordination during the trip on the ground. Your comments are very valuable, and we will work hard to improve communication between our team, drivers, and guides to ensure smoother experiences for all travelers. We appreciate your understanding and hope to have the chance to provide you with a seamless journey next time.

One Way Fez to Merzouga Transfer with Scenic Stops: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fez.

How much does One Way Fez to Merzouga Transfer with Scenic Stops cost?

    +

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fez usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does One Way Fez to Merzouga Transfer with Scenic Stops take?

    +

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fez is not rushed.

Is One Way Fez to Merzouga Transfer with Scenic Stops worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fez, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule One Way Fez to Merzouga Transfer with Scenic Stops?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is One Way Fez to Merzouga Transfer with Scenic Stops suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book One Way Fez to Merzouga Transfer with Scenic Stops?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fez can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fez and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does One Way Fez to Merzouga Transfer with Scenic Stops start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fez within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Fez?

    +

On Outty we rank every Fez experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Fes to Marrakech desert tour 3 days, Fes to Marrakech: Merzouga & Ait Ben Haddou, 3 Days 2 Nights, 2Days groupe Tour Fes To Fes Or Marrakech Via Sahara Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Fez?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Fez?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
