Unfortunately, honestly, it's not worth it
I would not really recommend this trip, because they don't offer what they promise and you pay an amount of money for less they promise. The 8 hours tour promised is less than 5 hours with lots of waiting time. First, they sent us a message for pick up time at 8:30 - 9:00 am and we were picked at 9:30 am, and we had to call ourselves to ask whether we'd still be picked up. The shuttle was packed with people and there was not seat available in the car. Some of us traveled standing. We were brought to a waiting area at the pier. We had to check in and pay an additional 300 baht/person for the national park. We boarded the last boat from the pier, around 10:20 am. Everything was very crowded. Everytimr they asked people on the boat to be more compact, as everybody to have seat. The lunch was something cold and everybody should find a place on a very crowded beach. After every stop we waited 10-15 minutes for boarding and there were 4 stops. At 2:30 pm we had to be back at the boat, and we arrived back to the So Nang pier around 3: 00pm. We were driven back to the hotel by the same crowded shuttle with not enough places for everybody.

Lots of waiting and rushed tour
Overall would not really recommend this trip, because you're not getting much for the amount of money paid. The full day promised is more like a few hours of activity with lots of waiting time. First, we were picked up an hour later than was communicated and had to call ourselves to ask whether we'd still be picked up. We were eventually picked up 930am and were brought to a waiting area at the pier. We had to check in and pay an additional 300 baht/person for the national park. We boarded the boat around 1015am. After a 20 min boat ride we got to the first island. We were given 45mins to explore/swim/snorkel, but since the on- and off boarding of the boat takes about 15 mins we only got 30 mins on the island. The snorkeling wasn't great here as there wasn't much to see. Then we headed to the second island, where we also effectively had 30 mins, which included time to eat lunch. There was one lunch for everyone, no separate vegan/vegetarian options despite requesting so. Since we had to wait for lunch there was virtually no time to swim or snorkel before heading back to the boat. The third stop wasn't really a stop, it was just driving through the Hong island lagoon to take pictures. Then the final stop was at the beach on the other side of Hong island. There we had a stop of 1.5 hours. This island was beautiful and the snorkeling here was really good with lots of coral and fish. There were also hiking options. At 230pm we had to be back at the boat, and we arrived back to the So Nang pier around 3pm. We were driven back to the hotel by a shuttle. Good points: - nice and funny tour guide - longer stop at Hong island with good snorkeling Bad points: - expensive for what you get - essentially only a few hours of island exploring and looots of waiting - short stops at first 2 islands, making it feel rushed - no clear communication about pick up time beforehand

We had a wonderful day....
We had a wonderful day. Pick up was right on time and the registration process before hoping on the boat was quick and easy. The tour guide and the entire staff were lovely. We had enough time at each of the islands. Water, lunch and fruit were supplied.

An amazing day trip not to be missed!
An amazing day trip not to be missed. Crew and guide from the boat were great, taking our group of 7 from our hotel, then onto longtail boat for snorkeling session, an island lunch preprepared, lagoon photo oppurtunity, then Hong Island with Crystal clear water, an epic 360 degree view above the canopy and more snorkeling. Well worth the money! back by 4:30pm.

I think it is better than phi phi island.
I enjoyed the leisurely tour. The rice, fruit and drinks were good. Snow cooling was a bit cloudy, but I saw a lot of fish. Thank you for contacting us in advance and changing to the next day.

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
One-Day Tour at Hong Islands by Speedboat from Krabi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krabi.
How much does One-Day Tour at Hong Islands by Speedboat from Krabi cost?
+
Prices start at $42 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krabi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does One-Day Tour at Hong Islands by Speedboat from Krabi take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krabi is not rushed.
Is One-Day Tour at Hong Islands by Speedboat from Krabi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krabi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule One-Day Tour at Hong Islands by Speedboat from Krabi?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is One-Day Tour at Hong Islands by Speedboat from Krabi suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book One-Day Tour at Hong Islands by Speedboat from Krabi?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krabi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krabi and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does One-Day Tour at Hong Islands by Speedboat from Krabi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krabi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krabi?
+
On Outty we rank every Krabi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Phi Phi Islands Tour with Lunch from Krabi, Phi Phi Early Bird & 4 Islands - Day Tour by Speedboat From Krabi, Railay and 4-Island Sunset Speedboat Cruise with Night Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krabi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krabi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
