    Best day of the trip!

Our stop in Katakolo and Olympia was the perfect ending to our Greek cruise! From the communication before the tour to the experience itself, everything was exceptional. Andrew was an outstanding guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and able to answer every question we had. Hercules got us everywhere safely, and the air-conditioned Mercedes van was a welcome relief on a 100-degree day. We explored the ancient Olympic ruins and museum, enjoyed delicious wine, cheese, and jam at Drouva Winery, and stopped at The Olive Temple, where we sampled some amazing olive oils. Andrew also recommended lunch at Poso Café just outside Olympic Village. The gyros were delicious, and the portions were huge! Throughout the day, Andrew made sure everyone's needs were met and was happy to adjust the itinerary. We had originally planned to visit the beach, but because of the extreme heat, we changed our minds, and the flexibility was greatly appreciated. This tour is second to none! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Katakolo and Olympia. Thank you, Andrew and Hercules, for making our day so memorable. It was the perfect way to end our cruise! —Laura

    Great tour guide and driver

We had an excellent experience with our tour guide and driver. the tour guide was very knowledgeable and she even had laminated pictures for us to understand what we were seeing in Olympia. She explained things well and was very personable. We highly recommend this tour company. One suggestion is to have an over the head microphone so that audio can be clear while presenting the information. Excellent experience so thank you so much for making this day special for our family.

My family of 14 had a lovely time in Olympia! Everyone was pleasantly happy with the stop at Klio's Honey Farm and even the short time to spend at the beach. The Olympic ruins were interesting but so vast that we didn't take the time to see everything, especially since it was sooo HOT! Our tour escort Anastasia was wonderful! She helped us to avoid the crowds at the museum and was very communicative and accommodating. She was also very patient with us since we had a couple elderly grandmas who moved about slowly. Highly recommend!

    A gold medal for Olympia

Olympia was our first private tour with Viator so we didn't know what to expect, as it turns out we had nothing to fear. Charis our guide of the area was so helpful and attentive and the guide he arranged for the tour of the ruins was an actual archaeologist!

Olympia - Private Half Day Tour with Mini Bus: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Olympia - Private Half Day Tour with Mini Bus cost?

    +

Prices start at $470 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Olympia - Private Half Day Tour with Mini Bus take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Olympia - Private Half Day Tour with Mini Bus worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 39 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Olympia - Private Half Day Tour with Mini Bus?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Olympia - Private Half Day Tour with Mini Bus suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Olympia - Private Half Day Tour with Mini Bus?

    +

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Olympia - Private Half Day Tour with Mini Bus start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
