    Great family activity

My family and I rented bikes and explored on our own. Diego was super helpful and friendly and provided useful maps and recommendations for routes. Montreal is filled with bike lanes and cycling there felt safe, even though we don't have a lot of experience. The bikes we rented were in great shape and were easy to manuever. My kids (ages 11 and 9) loved the experience. Next time we hope to take a walking or bike tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that your family had such a wonderful time exploring Montreal on your own. Diego is going to be so happy to hear your kind words. He loves helping guests map out the perfect route, and it is great to know his recommendations and maps gave you the confidence to head out and discover the city. Montreal truly is a cyclist's paradise, and we are so glad that even without a lot of experience, you and your kids felt safe and comfortable navigating our bike lanes. Hearing that your 11 and 9-year-olds loved the ride and found the bikes easy to maneuver is the best feedback we could ask for! Thank you for choosing us for your family bike rentals. We would absolutely love to welcome you all back for a guided walking or bike tour the next time you visit the city. Until then, happy riding!

    Mom and son trip

My son and I rented a regular bike for him and a e-bike for me over Labour Day weekend. Customer service was great, the staff were patient and flexible, the bikes themselves were great, and the location is an easy ride to Mount Royal.

Response from the operator: Thank you, Terri! We're thrilled to hear you and your son had a great experience and enjoyed the ride to Mount Royal. Hope to see you both again for another adventure! 🚴✨

    5 Sister Bike adventure

We were on a sister’s trip and wanted to sightsee on our own on E-bikes. It was a great choice because of the warm temperatures that day. It easy to ride with the many bike lanes and google maps will guide you as you are traveling.

Response from the operator: Sounds like the perfect way to explore Montreal together! 🌞🚴‍♀️ We’re glad the e-bikes made the ride easy and fun in the warm weather. Thanks for sharing your experience!

    Wonderful customer service

They did a wonderful job of matching me to a choice between a road bike and an E bike. I chose a road bike due to the unfamiliarity with how an e-bike might give bursts of speed in the Montreal traffic. The bike worked very well. I only have small issues. First, they seem to have somewhat limited hours for the summer, 10 AM-5 PM. Second, especially in the heavy traffic of Montreal, I felt like the bike should have mirrors (as I do at home). To be fair, I did not realize This deficiency until I was on my way to explore.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback! We’re glad to hear the bike suited you well and that the team helped you find the best option for your comfort and safety. We appreciate your notes about our summer hours and mirrors — suggestions like these help us improve our service. We hope you enjoyed exploring Montreal on two wheels, and we’d be happy to welcome you back anytime for another ride! 🚴‍♂️

Old Montreal Bike Rental | Plateau Bike Rental - By FITZ MTL: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montreal.

How much does Old Montreal Bike Rental | Plateau Bike Rental - By FITZ MTL cost?

    +

Prices start at $37 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montreal usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Old Montreal Bike Rental | Plateau Bike Rental - By FITZ MTL take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montreal is not rushed.

Is Old Montreal Bike Rental | Plateau Bike Rental - By FITZ MTL worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montreal, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Old Montreal Bike Rental | Plateau Bike Rental - By FITZ MTL?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Old Montreal Bike Rental | Plateau Bike Rental - By FITZ MTL suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Old Montreal Bike Rental | Plateau Bike Rental - By FITZ MTL?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montreal can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montreal and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Old Montreal Bike Rental | Plateau Bike Rental - By FITZ MTL start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montreal within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Montreal?

    +

On Outty we rank every Montreal experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Old Montreal Walking Tour | Small Group (Max 10) | by MTL Detours, The Original Montreal Mural Arts Tour by Spade & Palacio, The Original Old Montréal Walking Tour by Guidatour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Montreal?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Montreal?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Old Montreal Bike Rental | Plateau Bike Rental - By FITZ MTL?
