Incredible experience with a very talented tour guide. A must!
Wow! Genuinely a life experience. First, our guide Vijay was an absolute delight. He is kind, calm, navigates through the city and with others in a very courteous manner, and has very clearly done his research on the information he shares. Absolute wealth of information. We go to take the metro, a rickshaw and bike cart to get around. He even through in an extra step away from the scheduled tour to talk about the Red Fort. He knew when to ask if we wanted photos, allowed us time to explore something we might see in passing, and was very flexible. Definite highlight for myself was the Sikh Temple. Very interesting to not only learn the history of the religion, but it’s very sad history in Delhi. But the most impactful was the kitchen they manage to feed thousands every day for free! Awe inspiring. The markets were amazing and packed. The Jain tunnels and shops were unexpected. Highly recommend any of Vijay’s tours. You will walk away enlightened.
Response from the operator: Wow, thank you so much for sharing such a detailed and heartfelt review! We’re truly delighted that you had such a meaningful experience with Vijay. He takes great pride in guiding guests through the heart of Delhi, and it’s wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed the mix of history, local life, and hidden gems along the way. We’re especially glad the visit to the Sikh Temple left such an impact—it’s always a highlight to witness the incredible spirit of service there. Your kind words and recommendation mean a lot to our team, and we hope the memories of this tour stay with you for a long time. Warm regards, Manager Travel with Locals in India

Afternoon and sunset tour
The tour was amazing. The spice market is an experience and the temple is awesome. We also watched the fountain show (110 rupies more) but was totally worth it. The guide Vijay brought us in the most beautiful places of old Delhi

Very nice experience!
Vijay took us around the different markets and temples in the Chandni Chowk area. He was very friendly and super flexible to accomodate our needs. Also, very informative and super useful to get to walk all the streets that only locals know! Super recommended!

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Old Delhi Spice Market and Temple Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.
How much does Old Delhi Spice Market and Temple Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $2050 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Old Delhi Spice Market and Temple Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.
Is Old Delhi Spice Market and Temple Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Old Delhi Spice Market and Temple Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Old Delhi Spice Market and Temple Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Old Delhi Spice Market and Temple Tour?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Old Delhi Spice Market and Temple Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in New Delhi?
+
On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit New Delhi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in New Delhi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
